It's not.

We could get Middleton with 6 and Holiday. The question is what they would add on their end and would it be worth it
Milwaukee was one of two teams that made a very strong offer for Holiday at the deadline

No thanks then. I'm not giving up 6 and Holiday for Middleton.

If the Bucks threw in their first we'd have to do this.

This is my point. What if they added 11? And/or added MCW and took Evans? Or Monroe and took Asik?
There are some interesting possibilities for both teams. Jrue/Buddy/Parker with Giannis running point forward would be awesome
And I wouldn't mind Middleton, then taking Demtrius Jackson or Valentine at 11, then attack FA if they take Evans off our hands too

This is difficult because we aren't really in the position to be trading 2 for 1 on assets/talent. If we trade 6 and Holiday, then we have to fill the pg spot through free agency and we will have ~$4.5M less to spend. MIL could throw in MCW, but do we want to start MCW with his poor shooting and injury history (coming off knee injury and torn labrum in the hip)?
I also just don't see MIL trading Middleton for Jrue anymore. Maybe at the deadline they wanted JRue, but it seems like now they want to continue with running the offense through Giannis. Getting rid of their only real outside threat to add Jrue on a 1 year deal and the #6 pick seems like a poor decision.

If I were Milwaukee, I would rather have Jrue and Buddy than Middleton and a hole at PG. Giannis and Jrue would be an ideal compliment. Both should run the offense about 50% of the time ideally. Neither should be highly depended on as facilitators. I would do that deal in an instant if I was then and Buddy was on the board, even if I had to throw in 11 and/or take on Evans for a year

I guess I just think the Bucks and the rest of the league values Middelton more than that especially if you are talking about them sending back 11. I think they can get a better return than a PG in the last year of his deal with injury issues and Hield.

If they added 11, yes.
If they added MCW and took Reke, No.
If they added Monroe and took Asik. Yes.

Really? What were they?
More interested in seeing what Holiday's value was (is?) than gnashing teeth or anything.

Yeah I can't see why they wouldn't consider that heavily.
It basically turns them into a really strong Eastern team immediately.
I am hesitant on our end but only for the same reasons I remain hesitant in general, I.E. Demps making those major decisions. In this case it would basically be giving Demps the chance to tie up the franchise for the foreseeable future by using up our cap space in an already demand heavy market this summer. If we are blowing up this core, I really, really don't want Demps being the man to rebuild it.

I'd be interested to hear too, because the only rumors I saw were Monroe based. I don't consider that a strong offer, but I did hear Lowe jokingly say the Pels were valuing Holiday like he was Westbrook suggesting we did turn away some significant offers.

Another team offered the Pelicans a young player and I would bet 80 percent of you would have taken the deal. Only clue I will give is that the team in question changed coaches this summer
TigerinATL is usually good at figuring these things out

Realistic Guesses:
Minnesota (LaVine)
Orlando (Fournier)
Fantasy Guesses:
Lakers (Russell)
Wizards (Beal)
Does this mean Middleton was actually available at the deadline for Holiday + 6? Not saying they should have done that, but wild, to me, that Milwaukee would toss up Middleton so soon

So this implies a new coach is in place, ie not Orlando who hasn't replaced Skiles yet, correct?
I'm going to guess the Lakers offered D'Angelo TMZ Russell.

If that was on the table......that's one of those taking advantage of teams in disarray moves

Just say it.

Well, I wouldn't give Jrue to Sacramento unless it involved getting back Boogie, and I seriously doubt that was offered. Mclemore and their 1st, maybe
Houston and Memphis have no young talent worth Jrue
The Knicks and Lakers don't haven anything worth giving up Jrue for.
Brooklyn and Indiana might, but it would have needed to be more than just 1 of their young talents and I don't think they probably offered anything that enticing.
Minnesota has some young talent, although I don't think they would offer any of them that are good.
Orlando has some young talent, and I would have been interested in Oladipo and something else.
The Wizards are the likely candidate here. Beal/Porter/Oubre are three guys i'd like to have.
Beal/Dudley for Jrue
