Bc I think I would do that in a heart beat. Just a hypothetical, I’m not saying trade him so calm down.

Only two years apart, but until Giannis can be more consistent with his shot (much more consistent) then give me AD. If Giannis can expand his offensive game, I think he will have a slight edge over AD.

But for now there’s no way I’d trade AD for Greek Freak

Yes.

Elite bigs are hard to come by, but high IQ wings and ball handlers play larger roles than big men.

Giannis is also healthier than AD which plays a role.

The box score won’t suggest it but Davis got the better of Greek Freak tonight. Giannis had a really hard time getting anything gong vs AD. Most of his points came on switches or slower bigs guarding him.

I think without Davis’ injury history, it’s him unquestionably. He can affect the game in so many ways without scoring. Unfortunately, I just see Giannis having a healthier career.

In short, on this team give me AD. Building from scratch gives me Giannis,

hard one
first thought is - no

second thought - his contract, age, health. position.
maybe.

BTW - I understand that his surname is not an easy one.
but he is so good that people should know it

Yes, because a wing is more important. I believe AD is the better player, but an elite big doesn’t impact today’s game like an elite wing does

He’s no more a wing than Davis tbh. He’s closer to prime Blake Griffin than Lebron James.

I would do it. AD would win us more games right now but Giannis arguably has more potential and we may free up some cap space.

what? I’d bet 3/4 the analysts that cover this sport for a living can’t spell it off the top of their head, and you want people on a Pelicans message board to learn how to spell his name? What a weird post.

No, Anthony Davis is a highly refined, skilled player. giannis isn't very technical, just extremely athletic and unbelievable at using that to his advantage. And the wing argument is retarded, giannis can't score outside the paint and he's not nearly on Davis level defensively.

for me it is weird that not only supporter, but especially analyst cannot spell the name of a great sportsmen...

if they have a problem - just call him Giannis

sorry for this off-topic

For me it is the same as New Orleans Hornets

How much have you watched him play? He's taller than Davis. There's NO WAY he is 225 lbs. He's packed on a ton of muscle this offseason. His game is almost entirely based on getting to the basket. Davis' jumper is worlds ahead of Giannis.

But, hey, he's listed at SF on some sites, so he's a wing! Never mind the fact that he plays PF in their starting lineup. Kind of surprised to see such a dumbass take from you, as you seem to have a good grasp on the game.

Yes. Freek gets whatever he wants. Once he develops a more consistent outside shot, he'll be the best in the game.

Make a case for why he's a wing and not a PF. I'm curious.

Giannis may have the body type and jumper of a more traditional big, but he and Davis bring different skills and have different roles. for example, look at % of FGM assisted for both guys.

position is meaningless for Giannis. the Bucks would be wise to start rolling lineups with him at the 5 and 4 shooters. but he is in no way a C the way we think of it

i would trade Davis for him.

Moves with the ball extremely well, can play the point forward role. Would you consider Simmons a big?

Both of these guys kinda remind me of younger Lebron. Just because youre y’all and your outside shooting isn’t great that doesn’t make you a big.
