Anthony Davis is a future MVP (probably multiple times), a future first ballot hall of famer (barring injury), and he's already one of the top 5 (at least) most recognizable faces in the NBA. He's a brand within a brand because of the whole "BROW" thing he's got going on. Did I mention he's a freaking monster and an athletic FREAK?

Thank God some of you aren't GMs. Only a complete idiot would trade a player like AD when he's just starting to hit his prime. You think he's good now? Just wait... He's going to be FEROCIOUS!

You do anything to keep AD in a Pelicans uniform. ANYTHING.

Seriously, I can’t come up with a solid reason why I’d want to do that.

This is just dense. You can’t even admit your wrong with your dumbass “wing” take. You keep going back to this “you can’t read” insult when you make stupid arse comments instead of just admitting, maybe, just maybe, the great corndeaux isn’t always 100% right.

Wtf you going on about with this heel turn nonsense? Pointing out that I’ve gone against the grain on a lot of topics this year and not having posts that age poorly in these bump threads don’t make me a heel. I’ve had people during the year at times follow me around and downvote every post on every forum. Pointing back at the haters and telling them to suck it is not a heel turn.

Btw you think boom is a heel and not some mentally handicapped moron. Of the two of us, you need to learn to read.

I’m like the anti-boom. I get shite on non stop on Pelicans Talk and yet my post history actually has merit. The haters can suck it.

hate to break it to you bub. but this is exactly something boom would say.

also if you watched during the season, you couldn't have ignored rondo's -27 rating throughout the regular season, Gentry's short-comings (I remember when there was a time when there was a rumor Gentry wasn't going to make it during the season), and the lack of aggressiveness of AD at times this season (aka disappearing in the 4th quarter). no one wanted those guys or anyone else on the team to fail. we all wanted this team to be in the position they are now, but you just weren't invested in this team this season if you never had some doubts.

remember we were 48-34 this season. we barely got into the 6th seed. we could've easily missed the playoffs entirely. I'm obviously pumped up for the way things have fallen for New Orleans but I'm also aware enough to realize how fortunate we are and how one or two more games lost couldve changed the entire perception of this team this season. think of what we had to do to get here: going on a 10-game win streak, trade-raping Chicago, then almost seemlessly integrating Mirotic like we did, finishing with the record that we did, and playing the first round team we did with the tenacity we played with. a lot went well for this team but nothing was ever certain. again one or two more losses and this board would probably be singing an entirely different tune, so I'm counting my blessings

but dont stand on your high horse and act like you never had doubts. or act like you were the only person that knew Rondo was a badass in the playoffs and Gentry could be a really good coach. would you look at that? another boom quality

So you said dumb shite and I get blame for it? That makes sense. Don’t sit here and act like you knew all this good shite was coming. I picked Blazers in 7 despite my optimism. Read the bump threads you idiot. That’s the point,

The big difference between me and boom is boom looks like an idiot when threads get bumped. I keep looking pretty bubba. You and I have bumped heads plenty this season. Another hater. Suck it.

I'm with you.
Most threads that are stupid like this, i generally ignore them and have no comment.

I have no problems admitting that i bashed Jrue a bit to start the season. That was deserving though, b/c he was playing historically bad.
I bashed AD for not being a better closer and performing like a top 5 player in the league. Couldn't be more happy about being wrong at that. Pretty sure i never said i wanted to trade him though.
I have bashed Gentry many many times. His record speaks for himself. What he has done really really well is he has a plan for how he wants this team to play, he has surrounded his self with a coaching staff to play to it, and he's letting them give input and have an affect on games. I said before the playoffs started that we would see what kind of coach he really is in the playoffs, b/c in game and game to game adjustments are how you win a series. Bravo Coach Gentry. I'll refrain from calling Uncle Alroy now.

Those are the three main things i might have said stupid things about, and i coudln't be happier about being wrong on them. I don't want Jrue to not play to his contract. I don't want AD to not be a top 5 player. And i don't want Gentry to fail as a coach. I just bitched about it along the way a few times.

To be fair, this was before the mesh occurred and jrue looked horrible as the primary ball handler.

I wouldn't trade this AD on this team for anyone. I'd trade cousins for what I could though... Too bad we can't

No way in hell.

AD is next in line to be the best in the game. Giannis is a flash in the pan.

Bc I think I would do that in a heart beat

Then you're an idiot. Giannis is great, but he can't shoot worth a damn. He is shooting 75.6% at the rim (Brow at 74.4), but he's only shooting 35.5% from 3-10 feet and it gets worse from there. For comparison, AD shoots 48.3 from 3-10 ft and 43% from 10-16ft.

Was just thinking of this thread today and it’s a very interesting read and the fickleness of opinions and changing of circumstances.
