Right now ESPN has the Jazz as the Warriors most likely first round opponent. I hope it happens. I think they could push that team, without Curry.

I think with the possibility of the Warriors without Curry, falling to 6th seed and playing Portland in first round may not be a terrible thing..lining up with Warriors winner in 2nd round.

LONG way away, just thinking out loud.

TBH win by clipps is not so terrible thing.

They have 34 loses and a ton games vs PO opponents.

It will be great to clinch playoff spot ASAP, but DEN and LAC winning some games might mean that they will be still competing.

A win here and there make sense.

Of course this sword might have two edges...

So tonite lets root for DEN losing to Philly - so that DEN and LAC will have 34 loses

lol I tried telling yall fools. Minnesota has an easy schedule so OKC is the most likely to fall so we want them to lose as often as they can.

SAS is the other team to likely drop. But they've been winning so....

ESPN Playoff Predictions

ESPN still thinks the Pelicans finish in the 8th Spot. That would take a complete collapse IMO.

though it would be disappointing, the Pels could very easily go (3-5) or even (2-6) down this stretch.

I'm not saying that's happening, but it's very plausible.

All things considered, Curry is hurt, and they're also not going to get the 1-seed. I say we go (4-4) earning the 6th seed.

POR - L
@CLE - L
OKC - L
MEM - W
@PHX - W
@GSW - W
@LAC - W
SAS - L

Pels could find themselves in trouble after the OKC game. Luckily, the Nuggets have a god-awful remaining schedule.

The crazier thing is that I think that loss to the Spurs @ home to end the season could still earn us a 5-seed when you consider OKC's schedule down the stretch. OKC could easily end up 6th, 7th, or even 8th.

Meanwhile, the current 8th seed (UTA) could very well be the 4-seed at season's end.

All in all, I stand by what I've been saying. Especially if the Pels can't earn a 4, I want them to be a 6 playing matchups vs POR.

Memphis is way overdue. Even tanking teams catch a non tanker down the stretch every now and then.

Denver officially loses

Memphis can afford to win, they'll still be the 2nd worst team
