Jrue will be fine. He established what he is in the NBA. Fringe all star caliber guard. In todays NBA on a good team Jrue is the 2nd or even third best player. And I think with Bi coming along and Zion thats what he could settle into his last year on his contract.

I also heard Gentry say the rotation will be getting cut soon which is a good idea.

E'Tuwan got a DNP last night so he's already shortened it. Melli getting Okafor's minutes is probably the next move to tighten the rotation.

If Favors can’t play 30+ minutes routinely, Okafor will continue to play and Melli will continue to get extended minutes.

I don’t see how Gentry can truly shorten the rotation before Zion returns.

Hart could find himself being in the lineup to close out every game. He isnt afraid of knocking down shots in crunch time and he can guard. Figuring out this closing lineup once Zion gets back is going to be very important. I know we all NAW fans and like his upside but his minutes could start getting shifted to Frank who has looked very good on both ends first two games.

The way we do that is to continue to draft high and find our coach of the future. That’s going to take some

And how exactly has tanking been a proven method to win championships?

Personally, I’m withholding judgment at least until our entire roster is available

Being a slightly above average team this year does nothing for us

I'll preface this by saying if we're not terribly good this season that doesn't automatically mean our young core isn't good.

But my main premise to your comment is if we are good, then that signals to us that this core IS good, winning 45 games would tell us that our core is better than they would be if we win 33 games.

Now obviously 2 games doesn't mean much, but we had chances to win both, and I think overall, most are most upset with Gentry, and it is all fair criticisms for the most part. Well, Jrue has been crap also but I'm not concerned about him like I am with Gentry. Jrue will put up his normal numbers, Gentry will be his normal self to, which is a bottom 5 ish coach.

NAW looks loss. Let him develop in the G-league. He’s not NBA caliber at the moment. I know that’s a huge unpopular opinion.

It's one thing to lose because we're young.

It's another when your veteran leader and coach are shooting you in the foot.

if that is in fact a desirable outcome for this organization, David griffin has been lying. I don’t believe for a second that they will accept any backwards steps no matter what the circumstances

they have plenty of ways to get what they want without their own pick being high lottery, or lottery at all

It's impossible to have a 'bad' season with the talent on the roster. Sure, they could easily miss the playoffs but the games will still be highly entertaining and the team is headed in the right direction.

We already have a ton of young talent and can’t find enough minutes to play everyone. Also we still have Moore, Miller, and picks to go after another contributor. Maybe we get some more front court depth.

False. We aren't worried about more picks. We have a core and a war chest. A top 10 pick would be an absolute disappointment. They want to win.

I want to win. Draft picks don’t guarantee a damned thing, That’s why most studies show that tanking rarely, if ever, works as planned.

Then let them go. Everybody who knows anything about basketball knew that this team would be battling for a 7 or 8 seed and very easily could be a 10 seed bc of how deep the West is. The ceiling is still the same. We will have other stretches where we lose 3 in a row. It just sucks to start the season that way.

If a fan cant stick with a team that misses the playoffs but still has a bright future, then they can carry their arse.
