It really feels like this team needs an offensive coordinator that will have a better plan than get the ball to our star players.

Not only that, but we need offensive punch coming off the bench too.

We’re still missing a consistent bench scorer that actually scares the opposing team. I get Trey is playing up with the starters with Zion out, but one guy is not enough.

But yea, our stars work way too damn hard to score compared to others.

Who is our offensive coach now?

Cause he sucks.

There is no rhythm to this offense. It looks like a chaotic mess.

I’m not sure who is in charge of the offense. I know Casey Hill was credited with coming up with the few offensive wrinkles the SVG era had. But Fred Vinson has taken on more duties this year.

Still. The core offensive philosophy is Willie’s.

0.5
Good to Great
Paint to Great

Those are good basic philosophies but not really an offensive system. It also doesn’t help that Willie doesn’t value JV enough. Shamit has been beating this drum most of the year and he’s not wrong that we often don’t use JV enough when he has an advantage.

Too much freedom imo. Needs some structure.

Who cares if we feed JV, he shouldn’t be on the floor. Whatever he gives you on offense he gives up 3 fold on defense

The supporting cast isn't very good..

If you run an offensive scheme that gets Trey, Herb, Jose, and Naji a bunch of wide open looks that they brick (or miss the goal entirely, Herb), then we'll all be screaming "Ingram should touch the ball every time down! CJ needs to have the ball in his hands!"

Keep trey, pick one of herb or Naji they’re redundant and get someone who can shoot, honestly Jose has been bad for a while now not hitting shots and not making plays on defense. Where the hell is Dyson?

Hard disagree. Herb adds substantially more value even with shite offense.

Naji’s three week run was a fluke and his bbiq is piss poor.

Ankle injury. Hope he's back after the break. I haven't heard an update in awhile.

Yeah we’re only mad because we’re loosing. Rhythm did feel off at times, but I don’t think offensive scheme is the main root of our problems. Not having Nance hurt a ton. He was a huge reason we won the last game against them. All our other bigs are defensive liabilities.

Lakers are a lot more talented with this new group and they were hungrier than us tonight.

The biggest X factor/high variance guy every game it seems is Trey. He had 21 points last game against LA. Only 2 points tonight, plus it shrinks the floor for everybody when he’s not hittin. We need his scoring desperately in order to win w/o Z.

It 100% is. This miss shots results in transition points constantly. These tough shots for out stars result in injuries. Look at teams like Boston. Even without their stars they still generate points against quality teams. Their schemes and movement makes ours look laughable

Absolutely. Celtics almost beat the bucks last night without Tatum and brown and starting Sam hauser because their offense generates easy and efficient shots for everyone. Our offense is everyone watch CJ or BI dribble into traffic and hope something good happens

Might as well be Chris Finch since there's a good chance he's on the market after this season.
