you have to be concerned with the Pelicans.
Can teams keep their valuable assets?

Those guys haven't been loyal their entire careers. This is not the norm.

Brooklyn had a special recipe of hazardous chemicals that they mixed together. Injury and taxes are the biggest threats to what the Pels are building.

They mortgaged everything to bring in a diva, a headcase, and the toxic combo of Harden / Simmons. It is literally the exact opposite of what the Pelicans have built.

No one on our current team bitched to leave their previous situation.

Don't Kyrie on your team -- that's the lesson. If you put together a team with weird head cases, it could all blow up.

Will we keep them for five years?

There's an old saying:
"Don't stick your dick in crazy."
Brooklyn ignored that and brought along crazy's co-dependant partner with him.

That is Zion's last contract, so he would still be with us if he plays through that contract here.

By 2028 we probably won’t care. That’s a long way away and we’ll have, hopefully, more young talent being groomed.

Two culture destroyers in Harden and Irving, an (at the time) injured Durant, and... Christ, I don't even know what to say about Ben Simmons.
CAN'T BELIEVE THAT DIDN'T WORK OUT

That was the team of weirdo’s all put together. Literally, some of the weirdest personalities and softest mentally dudes in NBA history all on one team. Not sure that anyone can take any lessons from this.

Zion's health is this teams biggest concern.

First time I've seen where Kyrie was referred to as "hazardous chemicals"; but seems mostly accurate. Him alone was enough, then throw in Harden, then Simmons. Complete train wreck.
