I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the locker room when zion and his dad bod comes up.

Im sure they treat and speak of him with the utmost respect

You regularly hear about how much the players love Ingram. I've never heard that about Zion. I'm not saying they don't like him, but the difference between Ingram and Zion, and they both have had issues with injuries and softness, is that Ingram puts in the work.

I think once it all blows up, it will start coming out.
I have a feeling he's not well liked or at least not respected.

Wouldn't doubt the majority feel that Zion is a lazy weirdo.

Which is why I'm hoping we build around BI and trade Zion.

Exactly. Ingram is showing true character and leadership now. He must have been playing hurt end of last season.

He absolutely came back early from that hyper-extended knee to try to help the team, and a lot of people ended up holding his lackluster performance against him, rather than acknowledging the grit he was showing each night.
He is the closest thing we've had to a star player that actually wants to be here, and people turned on him.

Many of the same fans turned on Alvin Kamara a few seasons back when his play suffered because he tried to gut it out while dealing with an ankle injury.

Because he's not a star player but wants to get paid like one.

BI is not a max 3rd contract player. This isn't difficult.

Well maybe we shouldn’t be taking your Gospel as credible takes. You just had your Zion revelation a month ago after endless pontificating about Husky for 5 years.

Ive only really ever heard CJ talk about Zion and when he does i feel like he tip toes around what he wants to say
Posted on 11/23/24 at 11:31 pm to Chalkywhite84
They prolly awe of the ability, and continue to play the game.

I've said for multiple years Zion will never be an NBA level player or #1.
Some of you folks just flat out lie to try and get your gotcha moments.
A lot of weirdos in here these days.

No gotcha, I have good ideas that end up wrong all the time. I just don't start in absolutes, which you did with Zion, even though there was always your preference, along with a weight and injury risk.
Funny, because I'm not out on Zion. I want him to succeed in NOLA with real expectations. If it comes down to Griff or Zion, I've got a good idea that .......

You were wrong. It's ok to concede you were wrong especially when... You were wrong.

Did we hear the Joel interview with DJM during the last game.
It sounded like a sly dig to me, maybe at Zion, but he spoke about how he turns up in shape, to play a full season… looks after his body in the off season, work outs, full cardio, in shape…and that it’s just as important to do that in the off season as it is during the season.

About the board taking your absolutes as fervently as you? I think that's all that it comes down to. Back to the topic, doubt has for sure sunk in with the Pels and that reflects leadership. Griff, Coach Green, and the players are all accountable, but team's value is way too high to blow it up. If players didn't like Zion he would have been gone a long time ago.
Pels are at the point, due to poor play, that changes have to be made. The simplest change is parting ways with Griff keeping the remaining staff in place, go out and get a basketball person like Myers, and let them set basketball expectations and a plan forward.
