It's going to be near impossible to be a non-tax team with his giant cap figure.

Next year Phoenix could have Wall/Booker/Warren/Ayton for a total of about $85 million. They have enough young talent and cap space to make Wall work.

Just a feeling, Boston is going to have to shake things up sooner rather than later.. They have alot of tension between the players

Is this it? They were getting waxed on a SEGABABA. They have a winning culture and look to be holding eachother accountable. I'm not keyed in to the Celts so maybe there's more going on but I don't think this warrants concern?

They've already had 2 players only meetings, and someone in the locker room has been leaking out what was said, that a couple are pissed because guys are only worried about their stats and not the team or winning.. Apparently theres alot happening behind the scenes in that locker room also, and looks like its moving onto the court (they got blown out by the Heat last night)

But what's that total payroll going to look like in 3-4 seasons?

Booker/Wall alone will take up around, what, $80 mil or so?

If they want to be good, they'll need more pieces around them in addition to Ayton. You'd be looking at a pretty large payroll in 2020 and beyond if they wanted to really compete.

Damn, I gotta pay more attention. That is strange for a team who's winning. Wonder who's gettable? Maybe have them ship Marcus to Washington instead of us including Niko?

They really haven’t been winning as consistently as most predicted at the start of the season.
Barkley made a comment at the beginning of the season that the Celtics would have problems because Rozier, Tatum and Brown may not want to take a backseat to Hayward and Kyrie

Too many big name mouths to feed

Kyrie wants his
Hayward is a max that wants his
Brown and Tatum want to grow into superstars

Morris, horford, and smart want their role

That’s interesting because when I looked for Randle partners about a month ago Boston stood out with their bottom of the league points in the paint. Washington would want 2 1sts, but that’s not crazy as a deal framework.

Seems like there could be some wind here too. Kevin Love related.

Would love it for Pels, but not enough for Washington. An expiring Rozier and only 1 1st would not be enough for them.

Unless we are shipping him to a 3rd time (or trying to pry a 1st from the Cavs for taking on his contract), I see no reason to be interested.

I dont think Kevin Love's contract is considered a negative asset. 20 and 10 guy who has finals experience and shoots 40 percent from three. Aren't alot of those guys around.

The only reason I could see us interested is if we have another deal worked out with sending Niko out

Yeah uh..... no thank you.
Niko is better than Love.

Could do Solo/Randle/Wes/Clark/Williams and a first for Hayward/Morris. Gets Boston out the tax this year and saves them a ton next year when they resign Kyrie and Horford.

I dont see them getting 2 1sts.. Maybe 1 1st and a couple 2nds, but what their asking is not going to be what they get, we just have to wait them out

Then they will just keep him and try to make the playoffs.
