He's gone from elite scoring efficiency to below NBA average scoring efficiency.

Certainly, we should allow him for him to round into form.

I'm more worried about the way we use him offensively, where we seemingly don't do any of the things we used to do give him massive advantages and instead intentionally give him the ball with an already clogged paint over and over and over.

Even with those 2, this team still needs another 3pt shooter if it really wants to make a deep playoff run.

I'm happy he's getting some minutes early in the season. Due to the injuries.

That’s a 9% decrease from the last year he played. His defense is horrible, how many 3 point shots did he leave wide open today? Can you name one thing he has improved on since he got into the league?

That's kinda my issue. It's cool when it's dominant but at some point he is gonna have learn a right hand layup. Or a 15 footer. They run to the circle everytime he has the ball. He still scoring a lot but I worry about him just barreling to the rim evey play. It's not sustainable.

Exactly. His defense still sucks, he still cant shoot or score outside 5 ft and he can barely go right. Honestly can someone point out an area of the game he has gotten better?

It's less so how he scored and more so that were utilizing his skill set poorly that is the issue.

There isn't one. And that is something that the staff has to address moving forward. BI comes with something new every season. He Nas the fadeaway mid dirk slash kobe shot added to his game. Z needs to be doing the same. Adding something. And I mean I think they will. This off-season was about recovering from injury and getting weight under control.

The Pels might've been better off in OT if he had fouled out. There were two straight possessions where he left a shot short trying to scoop it with his left hand, and then on the next possession had a 5 on 3 break and he missed a layup rather than kicking it to the wide open man. Those two possessions probably lost the game in OT. The missed free throws and defense on Matt Ryan were the biggest issues though. This game shouldn't have even gone to OT.

Lakers played likely one of their best games against pels playing terrible without their best player plus another starter. Pretty impressive!

I mean, even Westbrick looked good! Fast forward to playoffs & we will be in the mix. I don’t think these lakers will be close to the play in

When Ingram comes back sit McCollum. He's a liability right now until he improves his shooting. He's been routinely hitting about 35% or worse. His shot volume does not match the production.

Trade in your wings. You are a better purple and gold guy.

You don't sit him, his playmaking and gravity have a lot of value even if he's in a slump. BI playing will naturally reduce CJ's shot count and shot profile, ie not as many forced shots.

Yea Zion is useless when he isn't breaking records with efficiency. A total shell, let's trade him for a couple of 2nds while he still has value.

I’m still not sold on the “this team needs more shooters” bit.

We ran into a very good Suns team and simply had a bad night vs the Lakers of all teams. What does another shooter do? Take the ball out of Trey, Zion, and BI’s hands? We need those guys to get more playing time and shots up, not bring in another player to take shots from them.

We simply need to grow as a team. If we can draft a shooter then sure do it in a heart beat. To bring in another “shooter” most likely means less minutes for Jose/ Dyson (who are both improving their shot and make a difference on defense) and less opportunities for Trey.

3pt shooting isn’t our full game plan anyway. And our problem isn’t making 3’s it’s making contested 3’s. Zion with the right role and a healthy BI = open shots (and we have been solid hitting open shots).

Do you want/ think Graham should play more? If the answer is no then we don’t need more shooters…

We need Trey to develop and CJ to come back to earth. That’s it. If Zion and BI play their role then it’s easier for Trey to get open shots (like we saw before BI got hurt). CJ needs play off ball IMO. We don’t need another shooter we need a PG and move CJ’s arse off ball for more catch and shoot/ iso.

We are currently 4th in the NBA for 3pt % this year (that’s including the 32% from the Lakers game). I’m not sure I get where these comments are coming from.

There’s always a chance but I highly doubt we are winning a championship this year. Our window starts next year after this team finds their flow and gets another playoff series under their belt. The development of BI, Zion, Trey, Herb, Jose, and Dyson is more important than adding a random shooter to take their minutes because we had a bad game.

Agreed.

Jose deserves more minutes at pg but we need a true pg to slide cj over. I know we have zion, but I don’t think we have anyone else that can just get into the lane at will besides Jose.
