Why are we worrying about the 13th pick? We getting top 3 pellisons! We need to ask that lady for her good luck charm again.

Nesmith is a great shooter also.. 52% on 8.2 attempts per game..
Reallllllllly small sample size in 14 games. He was 33% his Freshman year if I recall correctly.

I'm fine with him. I recognize that I know jackshit

It’s a fair concern though you’re right about that. He did shoot 83% from the free throw both years at vandy

That still seems really high for 14 games. Do coaches and scouts brush off those performances?

Frozen envelope finna do work.

Didn't the Lakers wind up in the top 4 with the 13th best odds?

No but its context just like everything else. He didn't do in conference play and numbers almost always go down in conference play.
I think they all think he has the ability to do it.

I find that in the "drafts that aren't great", the best players are often drafted between 10-20 quite often.
Yep. There's almost always an allstar quality player in the teens in almost every draft. Just have to find him.
At worst, with the 13th pick you should be able to find a good role player.
As someone else said, I wouldn't mind trading the pick to next year if one of the guys you really liked isn't there at 13, bringing Didi over as our first round pick, and keeping the two 2nd round picks and hoping you can find something there.

Bey is more likely to be available. Great size. Very good 3pt shooter. Poor defender. Kind of old. He’s just maybe a year younger than Ingram. Edit: he’s closer to 2 years younger but he is 21 already.
I wouldn't say Bey is a poor defender. He's not the quickest guy, but he's good with technique and has excellent IQ. Not a lockdown individual defender, but a good team defender who makes great reads.

We actually have 3 picks in Round 2 this year.
I don't think that we will actually draft 4 guys, especially if we are bringing Didi in, because I can't see us stashing more than one guy. So, we likely use of those to trade up.
Or, one of them gets thrown in to some trade involving Jrue.

I’m on the Jalen Smith train too!!

There’s a chance we could trade up into the late first to get Jalen Smith

That dude is going in the lottery brah. He’s going move up once they start doing private workouts. Dude is severely under valued right now.

Even so, if over an 82 game season he shoots it even 37%, that's great numbers for us. I would prefer Vassel because he is the better defender, but Nesmith would be a good pick for us that COULD turn into the 3&D wing we need

yeah but one is the last pick in the draft. I do'nt expect to make that pick, or even if we do, for that person to be a part of the team.
I doubt we make the two earlier 2nd round picks either to be honest. I"m sure we'll try to package them to move up a few spots, although that may be harder than expected this year.

hadn't heard of him. After watching his highlights and seeing his stats, why is he going in the late first?
