There’s a reason we didn’t win close games and didn’t win a game when trailing at the half.

How do we have “3 Stars” and haven’t found a way to remotely be productive down the stretch.

We don’t need them to be killers at the end of game, we just need them to be average and we win a lot more games this year.

Some fans are so clueless it’s mind boggling. The run at the end of the season showed how important Zion is to this team.

Zion had a great game. He has potential to be a true star. Stars take over when they need to. We had a whole season of these BS end of game situations and Zion was not injured.

I’m thrilled the way he finally acted like he was the best player on the court against the Lakers. But doing it once last week doesn’t make you a star. He’s gotta prove he’ll do it again and again and again.

Trigga Trey, It's good to have a star or stars but with this New Orleans team, you have so many good players, no changes have been made with the current team pretty much in tact, and at one time The Pels were known to have the deepest bench in the NBA.

If they would just move the ball and stop the hero ball, at least they would get an open shot. I actually think they (GM, higher personnel) want to justify the amount of money given to one said player. SMH. So let's call him a star and lets make sure he puts up 40 shots a night so there is no blow back.

Perfect fix to that post.

Not much we can do, the best thing is to ride it out and hope for the best with Zion, but in any given year, he is less likely to be able to play in the postseason than he is likely. That's a bit of a problem.

Agreed but if you can get a reliable second star who stays healthy, fits with Zion and helps leads the team when hes gone- it helps deal with the Zion injuries. Maybe that guy is on our roster (Trey) and maybe not. But I know BI just isn’t that guy.

The struggles in late game and lack of 4th qtr comebacks is a real thing. Zion has all the talent in the world, but he isn’t really the ideal last shot guy at the moment.

Usually the best of those guys are physically dominate (Zion-check; BI-not check; CJ-not check), three level scorers (Zion-not check; BI-sorta check; CJ-check) that can take whatever the defense leaves open.

Zion is the only guy that has the pure physical mismatch ability to be next level dominant, but he needs to expand his repertoire (which also would likely reduce injuries and extend his career) and has a long way to go (to be fair so did a lot of physically dominant superstars at first).

We have a very well rounded roster and we’ve seen the benefits, but most nba championship contenders/champions have at least one elite end of game closer and I still don’t think we know who that is for the Pels.
