The package would have to be very large to trade the best defender on my team and a guy who is just a quiet country boy that is not a big talker but his play talks for him. Herb doesn’t need to go anywhere unless it’s a package that you just can’t say no to, I’m keeping Herb.

You have to keep Herb this season if you’re betting on winning this season. We traded away any leverage on rebuilding next season

Strongly disagree with this thought process. If we trade Herb for a nice haul including picks, we're back where we started with draft capital plus Fears and Queen.

I agree. Waiting another year does not benefit this team on the court. We have substitutes short term & I don’t think we are making any runs at the title this year. Part of my criticism of old regime was sitting on assets too long and missing out on selling high. If we wait on Herb 1 year, I don’t think his stock will grow. I love him on our team, but I’d trade him for the right price

We lost #23 pick but we also added a #40 pick. We traded a 26' pick but added Queen. They were both 1 for 1. We only lost draft "positions" and not a whole asset. We would have drafted (2) players this year and (1) next year. Now it was just (3) this year. We sped up our rebuild and drafted (2) players we really liked.

Competing + keeping Herb is plan A, competing + trading Herb is plan B, rebuild + trading Herb is plan C. You could say the same for Murray.

You are aware that NAW hasn’t been with us for years right?

Of course. I'm extending the timeline because they're both mentioned and theoretically the Pels would have lost two highly sought after players that they drafted.

You are forgetting that we gave up a 2026 top 4 protected 1st for #23 as well as another 2nd in the trade for 40. No matter how you cut it, we gave up 2 potentially valuable 1sts for Queen.

Pels are going to have a bottom 10 defense in the league this season. You take Herb away, probably the worst defensive team in the league.

Yup. We coulda just took Fears, see how this year plays out and potentially have two top ten picks next year.

Does anyone truly think the bucks are gonna be in the top 10? The east just got significantly weaker. The pacers just lost hali and they will probably be a playoff team regardless but pretty weak. The Celtics are punting this year and will be without KP (trade) and JT (Achilles). The east is a mess and the bucks have a fairly easy road to the playoffs. Other than knicks/cavs/magic i don’t see a reason why the bucks couldn’t be a 4-5 seed.

only takes one Gianni’s injury from them being the worst team in the league

I think that goes without saying. Other than a catastrophic injury to one of the best players in the league nothing screams that it’s a realistic chance of happening.

Yup you just never know. People called out posters for saying that could happen to Haliburton in the last game of the year.

Guess what happened. They ate a mouth full of crow….

Not praying for the worst, but expecting the worst because we have the worst owner, management, coaching, and city in the NBA. Sell the team.

Guessing you were one of the ones that said Haliburton wouldn’t get hurt and it wouldn’t blow up in our face….

Shite happens, being smart doesn’t make you a bad fan.

Warriors Pipedream scenarios

Given Atlanta just pulled off a pipedream scenario just a few days ago, nothing would surprise.

Atlanta GM's probably had to fake their hesitation on the trade. "Yea yea let us think about it for a second and we'll call you back." Then just cracked up laughing when they hung up the phone.
