We need a guy like Bogdan, who just knocked down every semi-open 3 last night and torched us.
If we could find a guy like that and have him and Trey on the floor together...sheesh.
Beasley seems like that guy, 39% from 3 the last 4 years combined, movement shooter, no hesitation.
Problem is, he's having a bit of a Graham like freefall this season. Still at 36%, but worrisome that he's fallen off pretty far.

Idea is to pick and choose who we want to keep and yo pay your scouting and development guys big bucks for good work and hopefully finding more guys.

Exactly. Highland is more of a Jordan Poole, Clarkson type guy.
We have enough 1-on-1 dudes. We need someone who can just make an open 3. Kennard or Burks are my preferences.

We need a 3pt shooter who doesn't need the ball in his hand, just a catch and shoot guy...really don't need much of anything else out of that guy.
Kennard if the Clips are serious about moving him. Obviously others too, but the reports have been that the Clips are serious and I hope the Pels are looking for a trade partner that is motivated rather than trying to get a king’s ransom.

Kennard would be a dream, Idk what we would have to give up though

But Hayes+Temple+2nd...something like that?
I'm not the trade guru like some of you who make fake trades, that's not my thing, but that's my idea.

You would have to add billy for money but i would definitely do that

Just dug around and apparently he is getting a lot of blame for the Nuggets’ second unit not being as productive as they feel it should.
If the nuggets had re-signed Cousins, that second unit would be humming. He’s the perfect backup to Jokic.

We know the Clippers want to upgrade their PG position and have interest in Lowry.
I think Soggy came up with something the other day along the lines of
Pels get Kennard
Heat get Graham/Billy/Reggie Jackson
Clippers get Lowry

Agreed, that would be preferred for me. I would rather Billy as 3rd option.

Miami gets out of the tax this year and creates a 10 million dollar TPE and allows them to re-sign their young guys next season. Clips get off Kennards salary and get a guy they can convince themsleves would help them win a championship, also get a backup big for Zubac. Spurs get a 1st to use their cap space. Pels get a shooter in Kennard, create a 6.8 million and 2.2 million TPE, open up 2 roster spots and get 9 million below the tax line while still having our MLE to use in the buyout market. Also Kennard gives us an expiring 15.5 million contract next year we could flip for bigger piece

The Nets' position on not trading Kevin Durant may change, per Brian Windhorst “That is an interesting development that has happened over the last 48 hours since the Kyrie trade from people that I've talked to.”

They want to flip him for a defensive wing because they realize they need more defense. Naji for Bones is probably pretty attractive to them. The Pels probably wouldn't want Bones but he could be the path to something they want more. Bones is also a hard to move player by himself because he makes so little that a Naji/Bones trade is one of the few out there that works as a one to one trade
This works in theory and I think the Nuggets would do it, maybe we add a 2nd or 2 to save face for them because Naji has a lower ceiling than Bones (but probably better rn)
Wonder if we could get something worthwhile from San Antonio if we go that route? They have putrid bigs beyond Poetl and could see them being interested bt the Jaxson Hayes experience as an add-on

Asking prices around the league are ridiculous right now, which maybe why you see us “interested” in someone like Bones who other teams would love to have.
It’s more than likely trying to get him to flip for another deal so we wouldnt have to send out extra draft capital.

That would change the whole market. Teams would reevaluate deals they discussed or agreed to and try to get in on the durant sweepstakes

this is a good time for a current/future salary cap/roster refresher
1) pels currently have no open roster spots
2) pels are currently 3.5MM below the 2022/23 tax line
3) pels have a small trade exception (didi) that expires today
the luxury tax line for next year is $162MM. with Hayes' $9MM RFA cap hold the pels are $7.5MM over the line, not including temple, naji & jose's unguaranteed deals. they will need a roster spot for Lidell as well
