I've been saying for some years now, Pels should trade for Naz. He is absolutely a starting caliber Center and an excellent 6th man.

He does everything we would want from the Center position and compliments Zion very well.

I would go so far as to trade Larry Nance, Dyson and a 2nd rounder. Maybe Minny doesn't bite.
So, I wouldn't hesitate to go all in on Naz and trade Larry, a 1st rounder (Top 8 protected) and a 2nd rounder.

Question: Would you want Naz and what would you give up to get him?

Why would a contender trade one of their best players?

Why not? Wouldn't hurt to try, now would it. I'm sure Minny would think long and hard about it. Picking up a 1st rounder is nothing to sneeze at.

If he was they'd have signed and traded him.

They view him as their 3rd big and it's worked very well this year. Ant took a huge step forward and you got buy in from Kat to be second fiddle to ant. Then you add solid vets like Conley and fill out with support like daniels and Reid... And you land a top seed.

We need zion to buy into himself. Ingram did and you saw what happened

Has nothing to do with going to LSU. Naz is a baller and I see him as a strong piece to a championship contender... But, yes I did go to LSU.

Ok makes perfect sense.

But after a pelicans win you’re posting about trading for Naz Reid. I mean we should try trading for Antman too (I didn’t go to UGA) since I see him as a strong piece as well.

Man this is not some LSU homerism rant.
Naz has become a legitimate starting caliber player. He does what we want Larry to do, plus he hits 3's at a high clip.
Minny will have to let him go once Antman gets the bag, which is next year.
I know that Minny is contending but I also know that they will have to come off Naz before his contract ends...

And yall can stop with the LSU jokes. If Naz went to Bama I would still have the same sentiment-- begrudgingly.

Naz is only going to make $2 million more than Nance next year. Your trade makes no sense at all for Minnesota.

I'm with you 100% but the Pels missed their chance this past offseason when Naz was an unrestricted free agent. He's becoming a very good NBA player, and he must have lost forty pounds to become quicker. He's one of the mistakes that Griffin has made by passing on him in the second round, and free agency. In my opinion he is just what the Pels need.

Imagine how dominant our defense could be if we had Zion and Naz starting down low!

Why Minny put themselves in cap hell to sign Gobert and give up all that capital is beyond me.

They could have promised Naz a starting role and got more than 2 years. He has a player option after next season, so he's gone.

Just dumb as frick GM.

You realize they have the best record in the west, and a good young team with everyone under contract for a few more years?

I don’t know why so many fans have such a weird thing with having salary cap space. You know who has salary cap space? Teams like the Spurs and Pistons? You know who’s in “cap hell”? Every team that has a chance to advance in the playoffs.

They could have the same record with Walker Kessler, a boat load of picks and cap flexibility too.

They won't win shite with Gobert. Won't even make it out the first round I bet.
