The Cavs just couldn’t miss from 3 so I’m not really mad about that loss. Tonight though we have to put pressure on the Clippers for that 4 spot in the standings. Put Herb on KawhI and let Zion eat on offense. Paul George can’t guard him but he will be their 4. We have to prove we can beat playoff teams and not just pad our standings by beating g bad teams. Trey needs to shake last game off and keep shooting the ball.

For what specifically?

Title chances, 4 seed chances, 1-6 chances, play in chances, playoff chances, keeping the core together chances?

If they want to have any chance at the 4th seed (which is trending towards a battle with the Clips), tonight is a must win.

It’s a must win for the team psychologically. They need to beat a team above them and give them confidence that they can keep doing it because we have a rough schedule left and lots of great teams to play like Boston, Milwaukee, Denver and OKC. That’s not even accounting for really good teams like Phoenix, Sacramento and Orlando.

A 30 point loss tonight would be classic Pelicans. Let’s see if they’ve changed at all

A win would certainly improve our situation greatly.

I thought it was a win they really needed for the 4 seed and confidence, but the rest of the West isn't slowing down. The Pels can't stop winning. They are closer to 7 than 4.

With tonight's win, the Pelicans are now two games behind the Clippers for the 4th seed in the West.

Pels also secured the tiebreaker over the Clips after tonight's win.

PHX does have the toughest remaining schedule in the league though. Also, the Pels have the tiebreaker against SAC and SAC owns the tiebreaker against PHX I believe. Those are basically 1/2 game advantages on each, which could be HUGE in the last week or so.
