I disagree, I think Moore is giving us this season what we wanted from Gordon. Doesn’t Moore have the best 3 pt % in the league this year? As for the difference between Evans and Rondo, neither is a great shooter however Rondo distributes better but doesn’t finish at the rim nearly as often or well. I can’t speak for the defense. Cousins vs Asik is obvious

I'm not saying people should be happy with PTAO, I was saying they are misremembering Monty and assuming he would get this team up for games like Gentry hasn't. That team had more than it's fair share of let downs against inferior opponents. PTAO sprung out of that team's perplexing ability to stay .500 while losing so many games they should have won.
If they actually need another reason to make changes in the offseason, PTAO is it. Demps threw away 2 seasons changing directions and now we're back in the exact same spot we were 3 years ago, a capped out roster and coach that isn't better than a 6-8 seed and not many paths to take that next step.

I've been a fan of the team since the day they arrived.
I generally watch at least 2/3's of the games every season, and check the next day to see the box score if i didn't watch. I have watched many a Justintv Hornets games on my laptop.
2 years ago i had very little interest in the team. might have watched 20 games all year at best. Only reason i watched any at all last year was to see Buddy, then to see Cousins.
I have watched pretty much every game this year, outside of maybe 5, and i just have so little interest in continuing to watch another game. I just don't care right now until something changes. Trade deadline is approaching. If nothing happens, probably will pay little attention to this team the rest of the season unless they go on some hot winning streak and actually look like a playoff team.
I also haven't been to a game in 3 years, even though i probably went to at least 10 every year before that. Was about to get some tickets for some upcoming games to bring my kiddos, but this team isn't worth the 5-6 hours of time i'd have to invest to go to the game, nor do i want my kids watching people play a sport that simply don't give a shite out there.
I'll take them to the LSU bball games instead.

I feel the same way. The lack of effort is astonishing. I'd rather watch Dan Dickau play 110% every game (and lose) than watch the current team half-arse it out there.

I watched LSU Arky over the Pels last night, and I go to all the Pels games. I do not blame you for preferring to see a bunch of overachieving misfits with an incredible coach playing with passion instead of essentially the exact opposite, especially since it's as close to free as you'll get to see LSU bball.

I for one am happy that more and more of you guys aren't giving this team any of your time or money. They don't deserve it. You will have much more happiness as a result. I promise

They still get my money. They lucked into it with me though. I'm 31 years old. It's a great way to connect with my parents and see them 30+ times during the season, and it's something we share. That time is more important to me than a W-L record, though they are certainly pushing the envelope here. Our rep has also been very nice and easy to talk to. I can't foresee us jumping ship as long as AD/DC are in town as we can still have fun on any given night, but a rebuild would be almost impossible to stomach. We've already sat through a hundred games Feb-April that mean jack shite. I don't want to sit through multiple full seasons of that shite again.
Point being, they are certainly wearing thin on a situation that's bigger than just basketball, and it's pissing me off.

Yeah, I'm with you. I watched every game this year until we went 0-2 against the mavs and knicks.
The complacency is disturbing. No one on the team gives a legitimate effort on both sides of the ball...except AD, he balls out every night.
So it's just tough for me to watch anymore. Especially in a game without Davis

AD is just as apathetic as the rest of the guys.
ETA: The New York game is a prime example. He looked checked out from quarter 1. When is the last time you've seen AD throw down a thunderous And-1 and look like he could give two shits? Cousins was more excited than AD. No emotion. Lazy defense. Dude's so gifted he can put up stats without really trying, but the team is not good enough for their leader to be sleepwalking through games.

When this short clip below happened live I was just focused on the ball so I didn't notice Boogie just standing around. If he gave any effort this wouldn't have been multiple offensive rebounds.

He's gotten deserved heat over the years, but i'm watching Doc Rivers coach a team full legit scrubs to within a game of the Pelicans.
Most nights, they have a rotation that would've made Sam Hinkie blush.
Can't think of a game this year where it felt like we outworked, or out coached/schemed, our way to a win.
If we hit our shots we have a chance to beat the decent-to-bad teams. If not, we're probably cooked. We put up a fight against Houston but it feels like we have zero shot against elite teams.

"Funny," because if what the streets are saying is true, he's wildin off the court.

right now the only thing keeping me going to games is dinner out in NOLA before or after...my wife appreciates the date nights

None of us should be rooting for lack of support for the team man. The only thing that will really accomplish is NOLA losing an NBA team.
It's the person's fault for letting the outcome of these Pelicans' games ruin their evening. When Boogie got stripped in traffic last night, I yelled at my phone as if it were Gentry's dumb arse, closed the app after the Moore missed 3, and continued watching LSU on my TV.
ETA: People should have realistic expectations by now. You're going to get spotty effort, even worse defense, a Jekyl/Hyde offense, below average coaching, and the talent to win games despite the above. Have fun when it's fun. When they don't give a shite, you don't give a shite. It's that simple.

I’ve been onboard since 2002, but, yeah it’s getting old.Frankly, I think the roster has the elements, with a little tweaking, to be very competitive.Dow e have the cap vilify to do that “tweaking”? Big question.
I don’t know of any easy solutions for coach or GM. I think that some of the giuys on the current roster just have their heads up their asses at times.

that wasn't the worse clip of him just standing there watching on defense last night. There was another one where he just stood on the wing watching it all happen. I seent it.
and AD not giving shite in many of these games is without a doubt a big reason why i don't care about this team as much anymore. WHoever it was that said he was the only one giving effort isn't watching games this year. It's as if Boogie and Rondo came in here and are trying to teach him how to be a lazy arse star player that makes demands on every little thing, which is the exact opposite of what he's been since he got in the league.
I remember reading stuff where Rondo and Cousins were telling him he needs to ask for this and that, b/c he can and that's how it works everywhere else. That seems to be working out well.

Totally agree. Boogie has influenced AD WAY more than the other way around.
Why I don't really care if the team loses one. Or both of those guys. And I don't get why others are so terrified of that prospect either

Right now it's not so scary because Boston has a pretty nice consolation prize if they do have to trade AD. But those assets will age and be cashed in for other things over time. It's rare for a near contender to also have the fattest wallet at the table in terms of expendable trade assets. If it's going to go to hell it needs to do so sooner rather than later.

That will have meant we wasted prime CP3 and prime AD with only one mother fricking playoff series win to show for it. That's slightly disturbing. Why should we have any hope at all for any sort of success here unless the team lucks into a fricking third franchise player and doesn't repeat past mistakes? The odds seem stacked. They have to make AD work or you may get your wish. Basketball will die in this city barring magical ping pong balls.

I honestly am not terrified of losing either of them. I understand it would be difficult to trade Cousins and get back at least what we gave up, but i would be open to trading him without a doubt. Just don't think it would be smart unless we knew we could get something decent in return.
If someone wanted to give us a kings ransom for AD's soft arse that never takes over games in the clutch, that wouldn't bother me either. While i would always prefer to keep him and build around him, it's becoming obvious we cannot do it, and until changes are made from the coach, to the GM, and the expectations of this team from an ownership perspective, we are just wasting his talents.
I am also of the belief that AD is not a top 10 player in the league. He without a doubt has top 5 talent. no doubt about it. but he does not possess that extra skill that vaults him into top 10 status in my mind. If he had it, we would have better than a 45% winning percentage over the last 4 years.
