Alright yes I understand that. You've said it plenty of times. But tell me how it is possible? Usually if a team wants to get better they trade players and picks for a better player. If a team has several assets they will trade some for picks and fill out their roster. We do not have a ton of tradable assets. JJ, Lonzo, and Jrue are the only 3 players who will get us picks. Lonzo and Jrue are the only players who may be able to get us a lottery pick. Trading Jrue for a lottery pick means that we would not be getting back a player that will be of great assistance in the future because the pick would be more valuable in that trade. It isn't worth it for Jrue. If you want your lottery pick then the only way it happens is trading Lonzo for most likely #7 or #8

I do think it is possible to acquire a top 10 pick for Lonzo and take our other 4 1st/ 8 2nds over the next 3 years and turn them into lower picks. But trading our only 3 assets for strictly lottery picks has a lot of flaws.

I'd be fine with just trading Lonzo for a pick swap with the Knicks or their 21 1st.
I'd be fine with trading JJ to the Nets or 76ers for a young player.

And i'd be fine with trading Jrue for #2 and Minny 21st, even if it meant taking on Wiggins b/c i dont think swapping Jrue for Wiggins makes that big of a deal to our team success.
The fact that there is no clear cut #1 pick this year makes the #2 pick to me VERY intriguing. As i said before, not since 1999 has their been a draft where there wasn't at least 1 all star who came from the first 3 picks.
I'd also be fine with trading Jrue for a good young player or two.

Fournier will get around the MLE, which is in that same range.

The MLE will be around 9-10M, if not lower.

I'm figuring 7-9 million, it was 9.2 this season. If the cap drops depending on how much it could be as low as 7, but I'm expecting a flat cap which would put it around 9.

Also got Fournier and Augustin mixed up

I havent got to post much/at all in the past couple of months and have thought about the coaching search quite a lot and I can honestly say I dont know who I want to be the head coach. Outside of not wanting Jason Kidd.
