This can't keep falling on the players and Zion to police this. When is the last time Willie got ejected? Why isn't Griff making media rounds talking about the hacking? Everyone in the organization needs to be in front of the mic, finding a mic, to press this. It's only going to get worse in the playoffs.

Griff held a whole arse press conference addressing this issue, they’re constantly sending in video to the league office, and he talks about it everytime he has an interview. What more can you expect?

At some point the league has to start penalizing their refs

I think you're being naive here. Why would the league penalize the refs for doing what the league wants them to do?

The manipulation of the game by refs not officiating fouls in the paint is the easiest way for them to influence the outcome. We need to constantly complain, but players like Murphy whose primary role is making 3pt shots need to burn our opponents to the ground with open makes.

He's done that before

I don't know why some folks think if we just loudly complain, that'll fix it. It won't fix it or even put a dent in it.

The only way I think we REALLY get there is get to the postseason and start having some success. You need inside the nba talking about it after playoff games and it needs to be recognized nationally on social media, national writers etc. as dumb as it sounds it just needs to become more widely recognized.

Until then he’s just an opening act/sideshow.

Willie being ejected won’t do shite. Just a useless gesture. But yes, something should be done, even if behind the scenes communication with the league. Willie referred to it after the game as much as he could without being sanctioned.

He would shoot 10-15 FTs a game if he was in a bigger market. It is straight bull shite.

Hes gotta work the refs. It's the only thing I can think of that might work. It has to be during the game, during timeouts, like constantly work them.

Hes the biggest strongest dude on the court. He's not trying to fall to the ground, so why isn't he getting a fricking whistle when he's hit and falls down?

He and his coach. Remember the Minnesota game when he got a T. Started getting calls that game. Herb got the T when Harden got him in the nads. Harden didn’t seem to get his usual BS calls the remainder of the game. Could just be a coincidence. But maybe not.

Perhaps Willie needs to take the qualifier off that statement.

Gayle needs to support him in what he says. Supporting your team means more than hugs in the tunnel after a win.

The team needs to be competing for a deep playoff run. If Willie isn’t bringing enough respect from the league to the team let’s get a bigger name and more respected name on the sidelines.

And a little emotion wouldn’t hurt either. The flat, calm monotone responses convey little to no outrage or disgust with how Zion is being officiated. I understand it’s his personality, but a little emotion wouldn’t hurt. Whether it gets calls or not is obviously unknown, but it couldn’t hurt for the locker room to see him go to bat for a player publically.

Totally agree. Hysterics from calm people mean more than from dramatic people.

Gayle needs to tell him to let it rip. This team could be capable of a lot of balance sheet growth for her if Zion gets even a reasonable amount of calls, especially with point Zion.

kind of agree. If Willie can't see that there is pressure that can be applied outside of the game to benefit during the game, then maybe he's just playing checkers on a chess board.

A lot of those replays after Z thinks he’s fouled - only in the rare occasion does it look like a foul to me.

It’s a lot of bodies making contact, but if the defense hands are straight up….

Dude needs a 7 foot jumper.

you mean the organization in one of the smallest markets in the league? bruh, you are either incredibly naive or stupid, or both, if you think the league gives to dusty fricks about what's going on with the Pels/Zion not getting calls...

So your opinion is stay quiet on the subject and toe the company line?? Don’t even try to call attention to it in any way??

Internet tough guy with the small dick energy response. Figures. SGA & Ja play in the 47th and 50th largest media markets (NOLA 51st) and average more FTA than Zion. Granted, both are wings who average the most drives per game but that, to me, emphasizes my point. Small media market guys, live in the paint, they get more whistles. Then the argument becomes, well the league is geared to wings but then you notice the two leaders in FTA are Embiid and Giannis, decidedly not wings. Well then the argument is well those are MVPs who have some cache but then you remember SGA and Ja who have neither MVPs or playoff cache.

Seattle is the 13th largest market in the country. That's bigger than like two-thirds of the league. Where are the Sonics? Las Vegas is 40th. The take is lazy. It's the internet, we all have opinions. But don't puff out your chest with a pedestrian opinion.

yet, your dumbass is doing the same....

oh, the irony....

and what i'm saying is that the league doesn't have it out for Zion, nor will they bend the knee for him, as he's not a superstar, elite player, nor is he in a large market contending team, where he's a huge ratings draw.... that's what i'm saying.... big market contenders typically have the ability to influence or at least change the trajectory by making waves....

we ain't there yet, in terms of a contender, and we will NEVER be there in terms of market share.... until one of those things changes drastically, we have to battle through shite and not expect to get the same leniency as other teams seem to get.... it is what is....
