Swap out herb for Dyson/Hawkins and our 1st.

Giving up herb has to be part of a superstar "all in" push. Not a deck shuffling arrangement like Murray and Ingram.

Most people are comparing sarr to JJJ at his best. For an overall 1 that's not very high expectations, but in reality would pair fairly well defensively with zion. Add a 3pt shot and it'll actually work perfectly.

But that also leaves a huge floor to risk.

It’s not happening with that, no matter how many 1sts you add.

Atlanta’s eye is on Herb, they want Herb apparently or there’s no deal to be made with them, and that’s dating all the way back to the deadline last season, and with their love of Herb that means they’re not looking to rebuild, which means Dyson and picks does absolutely fricking nothing for them.

has. I keep hearing No. 1 this year is like No. 8 most years.

This same shite was said about the draft 4 years ago, look how that turned out for Minnesota.

Than you walk away.

Because you are not gonna get herb unless it's a package for a star.

He's a cost controlled asset who's a DPOY caliber player who can anchor a defense, not an inefficient scorer, and plays a jack of all trades on offense.

Now he's not a star by any means, but is he worth more than sarr? I'd say yes. This is arguably like the Anthony Bennett draft, picks are garbage and Herb Jones might already be better than some of these guys who are considered lotto.

Y’all are absolutely ridiculous

There’s not a team in the league that wouldn’t ship Herb on the first plane smoking for the first overall pick in ANY draft.

Something I did not realize, McCollum was the 10th pick in that draft. Also, this will stop any talk about how shitty that draft was, but the 15th pick of that draft just happened to be Giannis.

There are stars in just about every draft, if you can find the right guys for your team. Just have to find the best fits and have a plan to develop them, plus be a little lucky..

They want Herb to put next to Trae, same thing I’ve been saying for weeks. It’s a perfect pairing.

We trading the two better assets in that trade. Unless you really high on someone with that #1 pick. Hard pass for me.

This might be the worst draft ever.

Who are you taking at 1?

Nkt only is it going to be a project and someone not as good as Herb right now but you have to pay him pretty big money as a top pick.

No. 1 this year isn't all that special

Shut the frick up.

If it was just about anything else then maybe you'd get a pass.

But for real you are hell bent on trading Herb and almost applauding it at this point.

No one wants to live that stupid fricking fantasy with you.

Just leave it in your head

Have zero interest in Hunter. Herb has a good bit more value than him.
Naji at $7m/yr is better value.
Hunter is almost a negative to me with his injury history and 3 years left making almost twice as much as Herb and not being anywhere near as good.
If they are giving me Hunter, I want another 1st.

I also have zero interest in the #1 pick, but I’ll take it and use it to go get Markannen

You making shite up now. No one said that draft was crap like this one. Most experts had Edwards as the number one overall prospect.

And we shot them down last year and that was before Herb made first team all D. And BI was not included in any trade last year. And he’s by far the best piece in that trade now. And you think we’d pull the trigger on that trade now lol?

Y'all way overvalue Herb man.
You have consistently way undervalued him. Hunter is not a positive asset at all given his contract. The #1 pick in this year's draft is not good at all. So, I would not give up BI, and Herb for Murray and a neutral to negative asset in Hunter and a #1 pick in a terribly weak draft with no clear #12 player.

When will you folks learn the other team has to want to trade their assets too. You can't force ATL to take whatever YOU think is the best value.

This goes with any team though.

One thing is clear. We are trying to trade BI now and not waiting til the trade deadline.

So what does Hunter and a pick do for us? That is a step backward for the Pels who are not looking to rebuild either. Move on if Atlanta insists on Herb.

What if every team you try to trade with demands Herb in the trade?

What should you do? Just give him away? Do you see Hunter and the #1 making the Pels better than Herb? There is a reason Atlanta would want him, he is highly valuable on a great contract. Too many here just like to play with the trade machine and just want to make a trade just to make one. The focus should be about making the Pelicans better, not the team we trade with.

We shut them down last year for Herb, he improved more, we including BI in the trade now and you think we just gonna take what they offer now lol? Atlanta is the team that’s stuck with two point guards that don’t fit and has to move one.

Plenty of other trades for BI out there that don’t have to include Herb.

So you wouldn't trade Herb to Cleve, ATL, or DET this summer for anything that ISNT bringing back a top 15 player?

I wonder if this is their way to push Griff to go after Trae instead of Murray. I get why they insist on Herb if they are keeping Trae, but haven’t the rumors been they would prefer to move Trae?
