Shows up and plays hard? Yes.

Professional? Eh, kind of.

Russ plays to get Russ stats. He sees it as sacrificing for the team when he doesn’t get his triple double average, which is a worthless stat if they aren’t winning.

Philly is a decent possibility.

Tobias could be a piece for the Nets. Long term salary, unlike Kyrie, but less this season than Westbrick and the Sixers could add a Thybulle, Maxey, etc. in there as part of a swap depending on what comes back.

If we let off on that, we better be getting some assets in the form of more swaps, an additional pick, or getting an asset to help us (Seth Curry)
it we would be getting an asset back (the 2024 swap). Right now all we have is 24 or 25. After that we’d have 24 and 25. Now if they could also send out a contract and get curry back obviously that would be a no brainer slam dunk

No, we would be moving our swap from 23 to 24 and then locking our pick into 25.

Right now, we get a swap in 23 and can either take an unprotected pick in 24 or 25.

Edit - altering this keeps the same number of swaps and picks but changes which year the swap is and locks down the pick to a specific year, allowing the Lakers to trade the 23 pick.

That’s a significant benefit to the Lakers, so we need something more out of it.

yes you’re right, brain fart
still, I’d think about it especially with a player coming back.

Thybulle maybe. Certainly not adding Maxey. He is a part of their future.

Hard to know what to make of this

Typically like shams, but on the one hand, this feels like an extension of when he reported, what amounted to propaganda from Kyrie’s camp, right before he opted in. But this time the opposite way.

On the other, you could imagine those teams being serious, but not sure what serious offers they could even make?

Kyrie in Philly makes no sense.

This was clearly a "I'm going to need more than your 27 1st Pelinka" leak.

I’d say if they don’t get both picks they don’t do it. They get one shot at this and Irving is much easier to move than Durant

both picks

we have entered the twilight zone

Not sure Wiggins can be traded if Nets still have Simmons though.

Starting to keep an eye on which teams haven't signed their 1st round picks yet. Have to wait to trade them for 30 days after signing.

NOP
SAS
UTA

Maybe they could get involved in a KD or Kyrie trade, either directly or as a third team in the deal?

I'm not sure this is a sign of anything. Didn't the Kevin Love for Wiggins trade "happen" but take a month to actually go through because of this rule? And it was the summer so it didn't really matter.

I would think this is just normal "we have more important things to deal with" than this is the list of potential Brooklyn trade partners and facilitators.
