Sabonis quite obviously wouldn't be involved in a Harris deal.
They just gave up their best player for Sabonis, they not trading him for Harris lol.
Harris was a negative contract last year they were trying to unload.

Momentum is building toward an imminent Dejounte Murray trade, league sources say. Known suitors are the Hawks, Knicks and Timberwolves.

Barnes dropped off the face of the earth, visibility-wise, once he left Golden State.
I knew he got paid well by Dallas and Sacramento but not what his production was.
As i said, you can make an easy argument that his stats are better than Tobias last year.
Tobias averaged 1 PPG more, 1 RPG more, and 1 APG more.
Tobias shot 36.7% from 3 on just 3.8 attempts per game.
Barnes shot 39.4% from 3 on 4.7 attempts per game.
Tobias takes 2.8 FTA per game, Barnes 5.4 FTA per game.
They both shot 52.5% from 2. They both average about the same turnovers per game. They both have a Vorp about the same at 1.4
Tons of stats to look at where they are about the same.
The difference is Barnes gets to the line more, and Barnes is the better 3 point shooter. I think they are probably both about the same defensively as well, although Tobias is better served to guard the bigger 4's in the league slightly better.

According to a league source, the Sacramento Kings will not extend a qualifying offer to shooting guard Donte DiVincenzo. He is now an unrestricted free agent.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are declining the $1.9 million team option on froward Lu Dort for 2022-23 season, which makes him a restricted free agent and allows sides to negotiate a new deal in free agency, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.

harden opted out of his 47MM option.
gives PHI a little more ammo to work with before they re-sign him. hopefully they can pull a player or two out of the west

They still have a very large cap hold for him, so I don’t think this allows them to sign anyone.
What this may do is give them extra maneuverability in trades if Harden’s contract is not on the books yet.

The Atlanta Hawks are trading Danilo Gallinari and multiple first-round picks to the San Antonio Spurs for All-Star guard Dejounte Murray, sources tell ESPN.

Man that’s all it took to get Murray?

Spurs said they wanted a Jrue type package.
That was a contract and picks

Pretty sure Griff woukd have been all in on Murray if we didn’t get CJ.

Spurs and Rockets will easily be bottom of the division again this year

Curious as to what picks they got (protections, swaps, etc.).
This tanks the Spurs for this season but the Hawks are likely limited in other changes they can make for quite a while.

The Hawks are sending a 2023 first-round pick via Charlotte, and their own 2025 and 2027 first-round picks to the Spurs in the deal, sources tell ESPN. Spurs will also get a pick swap in 2026.
the CHA pick is protected for selections 1-16 in 2023, 1-14 in 2024 and 1-14 in 2025; if Charlotte has not conveyed a 1st round pick by 2025, then Charlotte will instead convey its 2026 2nd round pick and 2027 2nd round draft pick

Not impressed with the Charlotte 2023 pick. That’s likely going to be around 16-20 because they are a back end playoff team.
Hawks’ 25 and 27 with a 26 swap is interesting, especially given they don’t have a lot of ways to fix the roster if shite goes sideways.
Edit - Ew, the Charlotte pick is worse than I though.
At least they are likely not a lottery team this year, meaning it likely conveys.

Curious if Atlanta keep Huerter

I still wanna know what the reason for trading Murray was.
Jrue quietly asked for a trade here. Whats the Spurs reasoning?
This is one of those trades you always hear podcasters throw out there, but never actually happens. Where treadmill teams trade their best young asset and hit the restart button. 99% of the time teams try to build around Murray.
