at least 2 of those would have to be swaps, you would think
2 picks & 2 swaps wouldnt be so bad

he's a good player

Kind of depends who is negotiating and what is coming back besides the picks.

Atlanta appears all in on Trey, so spending multiple picks for a guy they are convinced is a good pair with him may work.

Can’t think of many other teams this would work with. Most everyone else is set at point or doesn’t have the available picks.

Just some things I’ve heard.

A possible package landing Ayton in BKN, and sending out Nic Claxton, Joe Harris, and maybe Cam Thomas.

Which is part of the reason why they are letting Bamba go. They already have too many bigs and Hartenstein is pretty darn good actually.

Bamba may be able to be had by someone for pretty cheap. He's going to be searching for somewhere he can start though.

I’m all for that. Would weaken the Suns significantly even though they would get some reasonable pieces back.

Kings and 6ers are allegedly possibly might be discussing a Tobias Harris trade.

You know if Dejounte gets traded to the Hawks

Wonder if Hayes and Graham for Huerter makes sense for them

Graham could be their backup PG, Hayes, their backup 4...he would fit well there

We get Huerter who automatically slots in to the backup 2 and gives us more length...I understand he's not an expiring but you can play Dyson at 3 and Trey at the 4 and be super long and switchy

I understand the Sixers wanting out of that contract. Not sure who they are trying to get from them.

Sabonis seems like a weird fit wherever he goes. If he can’t cut it next to Embiid, he should retire.

The Houston Rockets have declined forward Jae'Sean Tate's $1.8 million team option for next season, making him a restricted free agent, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Rockets and Tate have mutual interest in discussing new deal in free agency beginning Thursday night.

This is surprising

What am I missing here.

Sabonis quite obviously wouldn't be involved in a Harris deal.

I would think they’re looking at Harrison Barnes for Tobias Harris swap.

They are going to re-sign him. It's just a move to give him a new contract. Nothing to see here.

Yeah but everyone around the league is WTF'ing about it, because they could have just waited until next year to do it, and he would have been an RFA then, too.

OK, that makes more sense.

I had forgotten the Kings had a huge contract in Barnes which would help the Sixers get rid of Harris.

Barnes may not help much but it is easier to flip him or Richuan Holmes than it is to do Harris.

Wonder with buying out Wall and trying to trade Gordon and all the young guys they have they wanted to make sure they go to the salary floor...

Barnes is probably a better value player for that team than Tobias is. I doubt there's much drop off if any by swapping them.
Tobias Harris gives no where near the production his salary says he should. His stats are almost the same as Barnes, and they are the same age. You could probably form an easy argument showing Barnes is better than Harris.

Barnes dropped off the face of the earth, visibility-wise, once he left Golden State.

I knew he got paid well by Dallas and Sacramento but not what his production was.
