Everything leaking right now, whether it's true or not, is designed to make the other side blink. This is blowing up not because it's about to happen, but because Kyrie's Opt In deadline is 2 days away and these games of chicken play out through leaks.

It would also be very fitting for kyrie to be the gun the owners have against the players in the next cba.

He could potentially be screwing up a lot for the players.

Theoretically they could build a roster around most of those players. If Kyrie comes in via sign and trade, though, the Lakers likely find a way to send out THT as part of the deal to clear space.

Apron is around $149m and the Lakers are over it by about $2m between salaries, options, and incomplete roster charges.

I’m going to go on a limb and predict the Knicks swing and miss on Brunson, then do Knicks things and trade for Durant and Irving.

Nets get: Randle, Barrett, Reddish, Fournier, Burcs and 7 1st rounders, 4 in 2023 alone

Knicks get Durant and Irving

If I’m Brooklyn I make that trade all day long

I think the only ones of those conveying in 2023 would be the Knicks (unprotected) and the Nuggets(top 18).

The Rocket and Piston picks are heavily protected and may not convey before becoming 2nds.

Well as of now Spotrac says they are $2m into the tax between seven people on the roster plus holds.

right, but a S/T hard caps at the apron not the tax line.
the tax line is 149 and the apron is 154

ie: you can still be in the tax even if hard capped

The nuggets pick was traded. The picks going out in 23 would be Dallas, NYK, Wash, Det.

Of those I think only Detroit wouldn’t convey

What would a Zion Max Extension look like? $172m for 5 years?

Zion's max would be 5/$186. However, if he makes All NBA and qualifies for Rose Rule money, that becomes 5/$223.

Well, kills all that Laker talk

I love seeing the Laker fans get teased with a glimmer of hope only to be stabbed right in the heart!

Without the ability to find a sign-and-trade deal, Kyrie Irving plans to exercise his $36M player option for next season and return to the Nets, sources confirm.
