even salaries in that trade all around. we are right at $147M in salaries, tax is at $150M, so that's still enough to give out a minimum salary somewhere, Liddell.

I don't see the Suns giving up that much just to get Bogdanovic.

You can go ahed and toss that ranking then, as there is nothing to suggest he's better than Jval.
nor Capella or more valuable than Sengun.

The Suns locker room doesn’t want Hayes.

they aren't giving up anything worthwhile.
Crowder and Payne gave them nothing last year especially in the playoffs, and they actually played. Saric didn't even play. And Crowder can't shoot, and his defense is overrated. It's why they are looking to trade him.

The Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons are in serious talks on a trade sending Bojan Bogdanovic for Kelly Olynyk and additional salary, sources tell me and @JLEdwardsIII.

Was not expecting the Pistons. Hope the Pels are getting involved.

The Detroit Pistons are finalizing a trade to acquire Utah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanovic for Kelly Olynyk and Saben Lee, sources tell ESPN.

I'm assuming some draft comp too but if not then what the hell?

Well it isn’t a 2023 or 2024 first.

They owe their 2023 1st to New York and can’t trade 2024 as a result.

They do have a number of seconds including some from teams like the Wizards, but those are like Monopoly money to Ainge.

Not a bad deal at all if they avoid giving up a first

Utah now has 18 guaranteed contracts.

So they will either need to trade a couple of guys into space or cut a few guys.

So much for the Jazz seeking a 1st for Bojan. Not sure how this helps the Jazz. Makes you think that extra year on Graham's contract killed our chances.

This is effectively breaking Bogdan’s contract into smaller pieces / splitting the cap hit across two seasons.

Roughly the same amount of guaranteed cash is involved but Olynyk may be useful for matching purposes since he is only guaranteed about $2.5m next season.

Really goes to show how negative Hayes is viewed league wide. Graham too.

Graham's issue is more the length of his contract. Would likely have needed him to match Bojan's contract in a trade.

Are we positive we even offered?

Theres a part of me that thinks Griff still feels invested in him.

I'm not sure if Shamit is alluding to it or not but does seem like Graham's extra year was the impediment.
