Atlanta was hot after Drummond...until the Pels game.

Okafor to Drummond’s trade value that night:

The Atlanta Hawks were close to trading for Andre Drummond with an offer of Chandler Parsons and a 2020 first round pick from the Brooklyn Nets to the Detroit Pistons. The Hawks, however, were unwilling to ultimately add the pick because Drummond's contract extension demands were too high for them.

Were they not paying attention? Isn't the reason Detroit is trying to unload him is because of the expected value of his contract renewal? The capital price of Parsons and that 1st is peanuts. Clearly they just do not want to pay for him in salary though.

Right
You either want Drummond or you don’t.
His salary range should not have been a big shocker

Hornets forward Marvin Williams will be an unrestricted free agent at season’s end, and while he might continue his playing career if he gets an NBA offer he likes, he has given some thought to the idea of retirement, as he tells Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer (subscriber-only). “I’ll be honest with you, I’ve certainly thought about being done,” Williams said earlier this week. “I feel like that’s where I am right now: I could do it or I could not.”

Sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic that the Rockets are continuing to make future draft picks available in trade talks. The Rockets have prioritized a wing player on the trade market.

rox can trade their 2020 pick and either 2022 or 2023 (but not both). reminder that in 2021 & 2022, HOU has 120MM tied up in guaranteed salary for 4 players (harden, goatbrook, capela and gordon). in 2023 that jumps to 130MM

Why not do it all at once with OKC?

I thought I heard that they were linked to Gibson. Courtney Lee to NYK for Gibson and Bullock works. The Mavs have some good 2nds to sprinkle in too.

What's the deal with Buddy Hield? From being pretty publicly contentious (for him) while getting his extension done to me seeing regular reports about being benched during games and not being happy. Now he's getting benched before the game tonight.

Is it just the dumpster fire that is Sacramento at work, or is Buddy not that good? Because it feels like he'd be somebody we should have interest in if he became available.

I think it’s both honestly. He’s a good shooter but not good enough to counter his awful defense. And he seems very bitchy

The kings have a 3-15 record the last 18 games and buddy is 17.3/4.9/3.8 on .382/.333/.767 w/ TS .499 in those last 18

The only players that shoot more than BH on our team are BI and Jrue. He doesnt score near enough to justify it.

The organization you are trying to make sense of is the same organization that took Marvin Bagley over Trae Young, Jaren Jackson, and Luka Doncic. I think they are just dysfunctional.

But for real, there were rumors of a lot of the young players clashing with Walton and not liking his system. I wonder if it has anything to do with that. Hield seems too mature for issues to spill out for the 3rd time in half a year.

You mean like 90%+ of all mock drafts had it. Lets not act like you all knew Luka would be Luka.
