So basically, he's not better now, he's slightly older, his contract comes up earlier, he may in the future be as good as Tatum is already if he learns to do a bunch of things Tatum already can, he does get to the line at a great rate, but he is a lackluster FT shooter, therefore the Pelicans maybe should of traded for him because potential.

Sure, gotcha.

I think Ingram is very talented. I have been watching him and he can go get his own shot whenever he wants. He needs to get stronger like Kd did. I think he will. Im not saying he will be better than Tatum but Im also not 100 percent sure Tatum will be the better player in five years.

16pt 7 reb 4 ast 50/25/72

17pt 5 reb 3 as 49/30/65

Blind stat line, chalky.

Ingram’s age 21 season is on bottom. Who’s age 21 line is on the bottom ?

easy, giannis

the difference is:
ingram doesn't have his size, weight, and length (easily 40lbs and 2 inches)
ingram has never been a positive defender, giannis has been
ingram is a net negative player, giannis was positive

they also play 2 different kinds of game.

So they are both on the bottom.

And I like ingram s game.
Just not having a 3 point shot hurts him.
Also feel Tatum will want to stay here.

Tatum just stuffed KD AND Demarcus AND going off. Personally I think he and jrue would work really well together moreso than with Ingram

Taking Ingram over Tatum, jayson doesn’t have that drive and scrappiness to lead a playoff team all the way. Ingram has showed it and will fit much better on this squad. If we can offload AD for Ingram and co and Land a top 4 draft pick this team will be top 6 in the west next year

What the hell are you talking about? Tatum hasn't showed it? He lead his team last year further than what AD has ever gone, while Ingram has never sniffed the playoffs. You are outta your mind...

They have similar bodies at the same age. Giannis is 24 now, yea he might have 40lbs on him. And They have the same wing span. Doesn’t matter if one is an inch taller.

Explain their games to me

Stop comparing him to Giannis lol. Giannis was a raw athlete who was learning the game and improving greatly year after year.

Ingram has, from an advanced stat perspective, largely been the same - i.e. a net negative player. Look at something more than a blind stat line.

Can we add Barrett to this topic? I know we haven't seen him in the NBA but we can project.

How would people stack up Barrett with those two?

From a marketability standpoint, Tatum is much more attractive than Ingram. Unless we land Zion, I can’t see how a package centered around Ingram can be anywhere near as attractive as a package centered around Tatum. Ingram has stepped up as of late and really displayed some nice ability to get to the rim and finishes well but he still seems a bit injury prone to me. I don’t think he’ll be able to last a 82 game season playing like he has since the break.

I've seen these comparisons for Barrett(in terms of type and not how good he may be):

Butler

Derozan

Better defending less athletic Wiggins

Not just in NOLA. But the entire league. Tatum has a much better shot at becoming a household name than Ingram.

Dudes in the 7th ward don’t go to games. Tatum looks like he went to Jesuit High School. That’s what you want in a marketable player
