Any Davis trade probably happens post NBA draft, wouldn’t it? If that is the case, then Pels would be trading for the players the Celtics pick, not making their own selections.
make deal today.
Recipient gets 1.5 seasons of AD.

And you dont get an offer from the 1 team in the NBA with the most assets..
Great move

Because they would have to move Kyrie Irving to roster AD.

Because they can’t have Kyrie and AD at the same time until Kyrie’s Rose Rule contract expires this summer. There’s.a rule against having 2 players on Rose Rule contracts.

Because of what was said above... If it could be done in season, I would move AD to Boston now for Tatum, Smart, Baynes and a salary filler along with the 2 best of their 1st rounders.

Give me picks, lots of fricking picks. I want all of the picks and a competent coaching staff to develop said picks.

Hayward is a shell of his former self. Pass.

I would also want to dump Hill. I would take Heyward also as long as Tatum was included.

He will be two years removed from the injury. You gotta take back salary. You telling me you would prefer Horfords washed butt?
I love a Hayward, Jrue, Tatum trio. Skills compliment each other perfectly. Young guys are groomed behind them instead of being thrown into the fire on an awful team

Package Hill and Randle or Wes together along with a pick or 2 and send them to another team for a better player.. Boston gets to keep a core of AD, Kyrie, Hayward, Horford, Rozier and Brown along with a couple picks.
We could flip Hill and Randle for Otto Porter, and end up:
Smart/Payton/Frazier
Jrue/Moore/Frank
Porter/Miller/Johnson
Tatum/Niko/Diallo
Baynes/Okafor
We would be 9-10 deep and still have 2 1st round picks

I think mirotic would fit well with that team too. Not unreasonable in my opinion that the Pels can produce a better on court product next year even without the so called superstar.
Will it lead to a championship? No, but a team built around AD was never going to be a championship team too. Neither was Chris Paul. Those guys need a better player to be the alpha to be a true contender, something that Pels would never be able to obtain.
What is possible is having a sustained run of solid teams (glen rice era, baron Davis/Jamal Mashburn era). I would take that and enjoy watching my team. That is what I am looking for.

How is Randle really a trade asset other than wanting to use the est of the year to convince him to sign a new contract with you? Maybe he will accept a deal to certain place to still build his bird rights.
As crewz has stated Randle as a trade asset is a little different.

He probably only works in a trade for Porter where saving money while still keeping playoff level talent would be the goal.

Yep, Washington looks on the verge of blowing it up. It gets them out of long term money, and all they have to do is move a minimum contract (or we could work out a deal where Satoransky is included for Frank), and they are out of the tax.
Randle is an expiring, and they only have to eat a year of Hill, or able to use him next year in a deal as an expiring contract, and they get a 1st rounder for the trouble.

Tatum, unless you plan on rolling all those picks into trades for 1-2 specific players in this draft OR taking future picks in exchange for packaging some of these to move back.
I don’t trust our front office to play the role of Hinkle or Ainge well enough to leverage 5 picks this year into 1-2 good draft picks plus some combination of future picks or current players.
