When does the season ticket renewal push start? Isn't it March or April? Would they really go the tank route before that? How would firing Monty affect renewals? Would even the Monty haters renew before knowing who his replacement was?

Yeah we aren't making the playoffs so let's throw the season and player development out the window. Solid logic.

There's only one player on roster who still needs developing who is in the long term plans.

I mean let's cut the shite here guys

We ain't making the playoffs

We aren't very good. In fact we pretty much suck. And we can't stay healthy

Let's put another potential superstar next to Davis and play for 2015-2016. Keep Reek and maybe Jrue, get a player next to Davis, and just not worry about this season

Oh yea, and get a coach that doesn't totally suck dick

This team is now stuck in the worst possible position you ever want to be in the NBA. And on top of it all, they don't even have a first round pick.

Yep. The offseason moves look worse And worse in 2014.

I'm getting the vibe that we are unintentionally tanking...better known as being terrible.

Thanks Monty and your lack of care for analytics/3ball o and d/FTA...

trade EG for a pick or for some type of player on the last year of his contract. That will free up about 15 mil in cap along with the aminus 3 mil this offseason. close to 20 mil to get the bench and the center we need, we have a lot of options, just go look at the FA list for this offseason, no need to tank because we likely cant get into the top 3. we'd have to get around 25 wins which is extremely unlikely.

Let's lose forever. We'll keep getting high draft picks every year. I mean, why ever try to win? It's too hard. So much easier to lose and call it something else.

They're not winning, though. They'll be in the worse possible position that you can be as an NBA franchise, and this time, without a pick.

No you see the difference is our best players haven't hit their ceiling. Our superstar hasn't even come close to what his potential can and likely will be.

No, they're not. And here's why: we will finish in the middle of the pack this year. I agree no team wants to be in that position long term. But if it's for a year or so while they experience growing pains, then so be it. I mean, do you guys really think that this team (with or without Monty) wont be better next year? Do you think Davis, Reke, and Holiday wont continue to improve? Do you really think they wont be more comfortable with each other after a season under their belt? Do you really think this team wont play better defense next year after playing with each other for a whole season? And finally, Do you really think this team will be the exact same next year?

However, this team still wont be good enough to be a serious contender. Which is why I'm fully expecting Gordon to be gone by this time next year, and I could easily see us making a move back into the draft. We will have to add another piece one way or another. And it wont be too hard to make that move with the assets we have. You guys freak out too easily.

I wouldn't worry about the long term future of this team until next season rolls around. If we see no improvement and if EG is still here, then I'd be worried. But for now, I'm have faith Demps will make some kind of move to acquire that missing piece.

In the meantime, you win as much as possible. Creating that culture of success is huge for team development. Especially this year because our record has no effect on our personal draft status. If we get a first round pick, it will be another team's pick and based off of their record. So I'm all for trading Gordon for an expiring that can come in and help right away. Why not win? Why no do whatever it takes? We have virtually no shot at a top 5 pick so we might as well start trying to get these guys used to winning.

Okay even if we dont, it's not the end of the world. Let's say our pick is around 8th. Yea it sucks we lost that pick but I'd still rather have Jrue than that pick. We are in a terrible situation this season, but I really dont see us staying in this position long term with the potential we have on this roster. You guys are acting like we are a middle of the pack team with a core of above average 28 year olds on big contracts. That kind of team is stuck. Our team has room to grow.

Yeah, because the teams with the 5 worst records aren't thinking about tanking either, right?

This is one stupid arse suggestion. We have had a top 10 pick 2 years in a row and have made moves to make the team better. Those players don't want to tank.

Further, you think that is a good message to send to AD that his team will try to fail for the entire first half of his rookie contract? If we don't keep AD after this contract, we will never be worth a shite.

AD will be a RFA for his next contract. No way we lose him. But I agree that is a bad message to send to this group of players. Especially when the chances of us even getting that top 5 pick are slim.

It's really only singular (our best player)

EG, Anderson and Tyreke are what they are.

1. We are very clearly missing pieces.
2. We don't have good depth.
3. We can't depend on our starters to stay healthy.
4. We traded away our 1st next year, so we won't get to draft a missing piece next year.

Tank? I say yes.
Although I think a lot of people misunderstand "tanking" in the NBA. It's not about purposely losing games, its about playing your less-talented players more often to let them progress. Improving while not winning games. Playing your key players minimal minutes to prevent injuries.

Absolutely. I don't care who coaches next.

Ok that's a lie. There is one other coach that I wouldn't renew for...Byron Scott.
