In extremely predictable fashion, (almost) all of the Pels bloggers and media types are falling all over themselves to fawn over Spoon getting the job.

1. He needed to go. It was a mistake from the start, credit for ripping off the bandaid, but not too much credit because you hired the guy in the first place.
2. Zion and BI have to be involved in this search. They are not involved in the final decision but they are too important for the future to not let them be involved in shaping it.
3. Only way it's Kidd is if it's a Dame package deal. His name was leaked for the sole purpose of catching Dame's eye. I don't see it happening
4. Tspoon is interesting. Zion loves her. But does she need to be the HEAD coach? Short term media fawning is just that, short term. IF it doesn't work than it doesn't matter, Zion won't stay for her. Same thing for Vinson, but to a lesser degree.
With that said though, I see a way you can name Spoon HC and hire lead assistants with HC experience.

Exactly, that narrative is and was so effing dumb and its just something part of the fanbase started telling themselves while reaching for SVG silver linings. Guy was trash on and off the floor. frick him. The pels ownership should sue his arse for conduct detrimental to the org. I think they have legal grounds to avoid paying him the last 3 years of his contract.

Nobody is saying Dame is a coaching scout but if Kidd gets you Dame, you go get Kidd and you do it immediately.
Coaching barely matters in this league if you have enough talent. IE- Kerr, Walton, Nash.
Players league. Players love Kidd. We sign Kidd and Trade for Dame and we actually have a chance to win a ship. I see no other path that gives us that chance anytime soon, if ever.
