I’m back in overall. Even if we don’t get Mike Malone or Taylor Jenkins. Add 1 of those 2 and we are cooking w gas, even w Dumars at the helm.
Let’s be honest with ourselves. Would Dumars have done worse than Griff with the pile of assets Griff had to work with? Probably not. Griff has arguably has one of the most disastrous GM stints of all time these past 6 years.
We have a lot of sky is falling people right now, but this franchise needs anyone but Griff and Z at the forefront. We did that for 6 years and were largely the laughingstock of the NBA.

If every GM quit today, how many teams knocking on Dumars door to hire him? Same with WG like I said in different thread.
Who did we contact. Who did we interview. Did league give them list of possible good candidates.

Only way this hire makes sense is if Dumars has already rigged the lottery on his way out of the league office and we’re getting Cooper because of it.
If not, then it makes no sense

I don't think getting rid of Zion has anything to do with the next draft pick. I think the ownership is just tired of him and his baggage and wants him out of the building asap even at a loss.
