I like Pelicans. It's a classy unique name. It's has a lot of history with our state and city. I'm sure they will come up with an awesome logo and colors.

Honestly I'd rather be the New Orleans Tally Wackers. Pelicans really??? If anyone can envision their self saying yeah look at my Pelicans and not get a really embarrassed feeling then I applaud you. I really wish the rebrand idea would die. I have been a Hornets fan since they came to New Orleans and now to change the name for honestly no reason is asinine. Has a team ever waited this long to settle into a new city before changing the name?

The colors should be rainbow because that's a GAY arse name for a team!
VOODOO, BLUES, JAZZ, KREWE all sound better and have an edge to them that PELICANS don't. BOUNCE sounds like a WNBA team.

I don't think Pelicans is all that terrible at all. Like someone mentioned before, the best team names have some tie to the city/state/region they're in. Pelicans would accomplish that. Or there better options? I think so. But certainly not a bad one.
And as someone else pointed out, there are some shittastic team names in the NBA, but they seem fine because they've been in the league so long.
