is KG going to sign like a 2-year deal?

i just don't see how they frick up their future by trying to keep this together

Rondo easily deserves a max contract. He's the best passer in the league, is an excellent rebounder and defender, and gets his points at the rim.

There is no way in hell Boston is trading Rondo for 10 pick and Lewis. That's shite is laughable. His contract is VERY cap friendly. Ainge makes no secret about the fact he would trade anyone if he thought it benefited the franchise. Had a deal in place to trade Truth at the deadline. Jersey decided against it. Rondo being mentioned in trade talks the last couple years had practically nothing to do with his so called "attitude issues" as the media/bloggers present it. Ainge knows he has a MAJOR asset in Rondo and isn't trading for a 10 pick. Hell he doesn't want the two picks he has. Doesn't wanna bring in two rookies.

Rondo could help Davis' development a lot with his passing ability. You can't ask for a much better point guard for a rookie big man.

yeah let's just re-sign the same old guys who can't win it all, minus allen, and go for it

Keeping KG at a practical number doesn't hurt Boston going forward. Not sure if u noticed but he was pretty effective this year.

Rondo
Bradley
Truth
KG

None of those guys would be locked in long term cap killing deals. Probably get Jeff Green to re sign for a lesser number due to his past health issues as well.

Allen won't be back unless it's for peanuts.

i don't think their desire to move him is based in his on-court play

They wanted to move Rondo during the season because Ainge was banking on swapping him for CP. Once he realized that wasn't happening, he quickly shot down all the rumors saying Rondo was never on the block.

Has no problem bringing in ONE rookie to develop. Doesnt want two.

boston needs as many young guys as it can get. if not for on-court play, to be your next al jeff to move for your next KG

Ha I don't dispute that. Kind my point. Ainge wants to move picks/young guys for established players. No doubt he wants the veteran players to play with Rondo going forward. Boston didn't rebuild because the offers simply weren't there. Best offer was what amounted to the 6 for truth. Just not enough to trade him.

Is Rondo available due to attitude issues? Possibly, but I doubt it at this point because his on-court play overpowers any minor off the court issues. But theoretically if he was on the block as you insinuate, there is literally no shot he could be had for any combination of our assets not including Gordon/Davis. No chance in hell... Believe me I'm a firm believer in the future of this team but let's be realistic.
