This is what being in LeBron’s orbit does to people, along with Gilbert letting these idiots work in his front office.

This assclown also apparently approached an NBA HEAD COACH and tried to rope them into being an assistant on Vogel's staff...

I’m hoping these lakers leaks have maybe enticed the Celtics to offer Tatum, Brown, Smart AND the Memphis pick.

Interesting from Woj's interview yesterday:

Which I never thought of.

A lot of the narrative has been that if Kyrie leaves Boston may give up pursuing AD(I even considered it highly plausible).

Seems Ainge has a backup plan which is to bring in Conley.

And I have to say, it's not a bad idea. You could probably get it done with filler and a non-Memphis pick.

Conley/Hayward/AD/Horford + some solid FA role players is a pretty synergistic pairing that should punch on the door of the finals for Boston. Conceivably the Pels deal is packaged around Tatum and either Brown or Smart, the Memphis pick, and some additional assets.

While agent-player interactions are handled by the NBAPA, how are agent-coach interactions handled? Because that seems like textbook tortious interference.

I could see the Pels getting 20 and Ainge shipping 14 and whomevers left of Smart/Brown

At this point, I'm in favor of letting the Celtics keep an asset or two.

How could they trade for Conley without sending out Hayward or Horford?
Conley makes $30 somethign million. There's no way the Celtics would have cap space to make that uneven trade.

Apparently RP has just released a statement saying that AD will be a free agent in 2020 regardless of where he goes.

Seems to be a confirmation that the Lakers’ package is not what they thought it was.

how is this fricking moron now a power broker in the league?

I mean I was just spitballing. But clearly, Ainge has a plan and is confident in it if Woj is out there saying it is the backup plan if Kyrie walks.

The important takeaway is that Ainge seems motivated to do more than just develop his young guys and is willing to spend assets to do it. Meaning the assumption that without Kyrie, Boston may be more reserved in their pursuit of AD seems incorrect.

Lakers should be out of the conversation. I don't care if they offer up the best package. This type of behavior cannot be condoned. It's like trying to negotiate with terrorists.

Unless the other packages are just horrendous, I am here. We have to do what's best for our team, but I think part of that is keeping a good player out of the west and standing up for ourselves.

If the Lakers want him, they will have to give every pick in either a swap or unprotected for the next decade.

If they won't ship him to whomever has the next best offer.

ainge playing 3D chess orchestrating paul to say all of this

gives celtics credence to not go all in; gives pels desire to not give paul/AD what they want by sending them to LA even if it is the best package

Good for him because it is working. Everyone said he was the master and we didn't listen.
