There has been one thing after another about Zion's frustration with the organization.

Yeah, and some of it was totally reasonable stuff from the org.

It does make me wonder if Zion is just kind of a little bitch?

Or maybe he has just not wanted to be here from day 1 and is looking for any excuse no matter how small?

Probably not to have 3 coaches in 3 seasons, what do you think?

All moves made for him and his future with us. A 20 year old that's played one full season. If he was drafted by the Lakers and they made the same moves we wouldn't be hearing any of this.

Griff needs to sit down with Zion and tell him to look at Booker and Trae. Both of their teams took years to build it through prospects and FA signings to get where they’re at now. If we try and waste all of our assets now we won’t ever get to where they’re at currently. Unless we’re getting a legitimate superstar. Ja and RJ’s teams will never make it out of the first round. They got too good too quickly. Similarly to Dallas as well. They’ll all never be legit contenders

I'll say that Zion's family has very very very high expectations for Zion and his career. And those expectations don't always align with the timeline, path, and decisions that Griffin makes.

Zion's family aren't NBA coaches or executives, they don't know what is best for his career and should tone it down for now and be happy that they just won the lottery. Again, sorry we aren't LA or NYC.

Our organization lacks credibility. Zero nba street cred. We brought in Griffin and he likes to speak of shite like a used car salesman.

Just a random thought.... Doc Rivers was a free agent coach last year... he goes to a credible organization with credible talent. We come away with Stan Van Gundy and our commitment to not Bowing Down.. That just sums up life as we know it.

I'm sorry I should've clarified my previous statement. He [Zion] didn't/hasn't specifically asked for anything. But these leaks from his family aren't a coincidence either.

But essentially they want him competing in the playoffs. The internal pressure from Zion on himself and the pressure from his family is immense.

Only option left is to name Rich Paul POBO. Only kind of joking.

Now I get why during a press conference about firing a coach, he was begging the fan base to rally around the team...and randomly crying. Homeboy was broadcasting live from the Titanic.

I’m sure it has but if Zion and his family can’t see that then they’re dumber than I thought

same stuff is happening in Dallas with Luka. it is Griffin's job (and most front office's job) to find a balance between building an organization that can be a 'sustainable winner' while also not wasting seasons you have an all-world talent

All of this to me does say as much about Zion and Family as it does about our FO.

I understand wanting to win. He has played 90 games.

This makes them come across kind of like jerkoffs.

I kind of agree. I mean last season wasn't great by any stretch, but this shows an extreme lack of patience. Even if they won next year and the noise subsides, it tells me it'll bubble back up again at some point.

Translation: The outer fringes of Zion's family and associates got used to dropping his name in New York, LA, and Miami, so they want him traded to a larger market for their own benefit

Yeah. It is a harsh reality. But no matter how well we do...its coming back.

Even Anthony Davis who we rag on relentlessly let nothing like this slip until like year 6.

The low IQ GM was supposedly telling the head coach how to run player rotations. Franchise looks like the keystone cops and has for years.

I mean even if we go to 4 straight WCF and lost, do we think Stepdaddy isn't going to complain we haven't won a title yet? It's not a great situation.

Well when you’re only playing 8 players and none of the young guys AND still losing, I’d tell Stan to play more young players as well.

I watched an interview with Gilbert arenas talking with Dwight about SVG and his coaching and they all agreed his style is just too old school. He seems way too demanding as a coach. He’s a total 180 from Gentry. Need to find a middle ground. It wasnt the best hire and all of us knew it. It should have been Charles Lee in a year with less pressure. Or another younger coach

We could win 5 in a row and he'll still complain because he's "stuck" in New Orleans
