If Rondo is on the market what should the Hornets offer?

LINK

maybe a 3way with Sac

Tyreke Evans, to Boston
Xavier Henry, G. Vasquez & Hornets 1st to Sac
Rajon Rando to NO

If that trade was possible, I would think we would strongly consider it. Adding rondo and a mid level guy in FA would drastically improve us, but dammit I like Gravy!

I think we need to be patient and not trade away our draft picks. Keep building through youth with the draft.

Is Rondo that much of an upgrade over Vasquez when you factor in the contract differences?

18.8 v 16.5 PER.

Rondo's slightly better on offense (but a worse outside shooter and higher TO% with less USG) and much better on defense.

Is that worth a $9million difference this year plus whatever the number is over the rest of Rondo's contract (2 years/$25million)?

That trade doesn't make sense for the Brass, imo.

If the Hornets are picking in the top-7, absolutely.

If not, then the Hornets should strongly consider moving their pick and cap space for a young veteran.

I like the way we are starting to rely on and depend on Gravy to be our 2nd leading scorer each game for the most part. He's capable of putting up points, and hitting long range shots. I am not certain Rondo can do that.

Rondo is elite. He would be a great piece to have if we had enough offense around him, but we don't. That would be my only apprehension with trading for him.

I'd love Rondo, but why in the frick would Sacramento or Boston make those trades?

Oh yea, let's both trade our best players away for completely inferior players, great idea.

That's not true.

The Hornets are a below average (around 20 in the league) offense this season, but that's with Gordon and Davis missing significant chunks of time. The 8 games they have had their full roster, they are a top 10 offense.

If they were to make this trade, they make it for Rondo's defense, not his offense.

at anyone who wouldn't take this trade. We would be stealing a top 3 point guard in the league.

I would accept this as soon as it was offered. No questions asked.
