Dang! Heal up Rook. Shouldn't stop him from conditioning, we'll need to work on his strength as his wrist heals.

That's a good thing? All he can do is conditioning in the next 3 months.

Still in preseason... training camp just getting underway

You've seen him in SL. Guy is not really close to being a full time contributor to a good team at the NBA level, he really needed this time to work hard to contribute.

Missing essentially the entire offseason and all of training camp effectively puts a death sentence on a substantial rookie season imo

He won't be able to two-fist churros for at least 3 months.

Opening day is October 21st. So that's more towards the end of preseason for the next update.

Idk about "death sentence". Definitely a set back. But its his non shooting hand and he can still work on conditioning and other things. I'd be more concerned if he wouldn't be ready for the season.

We weren't expecting him to have an immediate impact or be the focal point in the offense to start the season. While knowing that, being out for training camp but still being able to play potentially 82 games this year doesn't scream "death sentence".

Don't get me wrong its a terrible way to start but definitely not the end of the world.

If he's healthy day (1) of the season and still looks the same 30-40 games in then yeah I'd be concerned but I really highly doubt that.

While I firmly believe this team is fricking cursed, he will still be ready to go to start the year. I just hope he works on his conditioning and strengthening his lower body and core while his wrist heals up. I’m not worried about him missing time.

October 10 and then add in time to work himself back into a shape, relapse and add two 2 week re-evals. Thanksgiving.

Why would he have to work his way into shape? If anything he should be focusing on fitness while out with the wrist injury.

Let’s not forget Herb and Trey are both still recovering from injuring and might not be ready to go at the beginning of the year. Not to mention Dejounte. This was all known information when Dumars traded next years pick unprotected

What does this injury to Queen change? He wasn't expected to play significant minutes to start the year anyway.
