1.) When Zion cam back we were expecting someone to have to take less shots. We thought that person would be Jrue Holiday. He's in fact has taken MORE shots and Ingram has taken very few. Why are we running our offense through Jrue?

2.) Our rotations are horrible. We expected them to take some time, but they are very bad right now. I love Josh Hart and his fire, but please stop playing him at power forward. Yes, he is a great rebounder... AS A GUARD. Not as a forward.

3.) You gave Melli a contract so he can stretch the floor when Zion is playing, but be able to still have size on the court. Melli has not played in the last two games (even after scoring 15 against Memphis).

Maybe this is me over exaggerating, but I want to see Jrue come off the bench. Put out a lineup with

Ball
Hart
Ingram
Zion
Favors

I feel like this would put a shooter on the floor who is not a defensive liability (like Reddick) and allows Jrue to run the second team (with reddick). Jrue would be able to have the offense running through him. He will still close out games, but I feel like it would fit the team best for him to come off the bench.

Right now I just don't like our execution. How can we get so badly out rebounded, when we start a forward and center who both clog the paint...

Like I don't want to be the person complaining about Gentry but this team has been giving out offensive rebounds, missing free throws (which has caused us our last three losses), and turning the ball over. That's comes from bad coaching. Other than Jokic, there was no superstars/ even borderline all stars in the court for Denver. They just made their free throws and didn't turn the ball over. That's a credit to their coaching.

Zion played 13 minutes less than Jrue and 17 minutes less than Ingram and scored more points than both of them. That's a problem.

The Pelicans need more from the top dogs. Play Hart more and play Reddick more to show them how guys should play.

Zion’s minutes should really be restructured so that he’s able to close the 2nd and 4th quarters while he’s on this restriction. The team has played best with him on the court so it makes zero sense to not have him helping close the game out.

I’m still not 100% sold that Zion and Ingram are a good duo. They both seem to want to be the “man” just as much. Time will tell though it’s to early for me to judge.

When the lights get bright BI goes missing

LAL 4-21
LAL 10-27
AD trade pieces matchup against Boston 4-15
Must win games with Zion back 9-33

This is coming from someone who voted for BI to be an all star every day for the last few weeks. He shouldn’t be.

Gentry doesn’t really know how to have solid rotations and now that we added Zion to the mix Gentry is really struggling with rotations.

This. Lonzo seems to be more in tune with the ebb and flow of the game, and should be the primary handler whenever he is playing. When he leads, the offense seems to flow, with players moving and passing more, enabling more open catch-and-shoot threes. When the offense runs through Jrue, on the other hand, iso-ball ensues, and it kills all rhythm.

1) BI was double teamed all night, Denver was not going to let him get hot, that's why his shite attempts were down. He had like 26 vs Spurs

2)Yes rotations are shite, bit energy is also.

3) Jrue will not come off the bench ever, I've seen this a few times on this board and it's just asinine

Everyone is complaining about Jrue. However, we now have a seven game sample, including preseason, of BI and Zion playing together and BI has yet to look good in any of those games. Zion’s return has had the biggest impact on BI. He has to figure this out or else we are going to continue to lose.

Is there ever a negative outcome that doesn't come from bad coaching? Asking for a message board.

But seriously, we just watched a team with a ton of new faces and injuries struggle to find an identity and rotations for a couple of months.

They have now added a talent like Zion to that mix. And he's not yet in game shape. Rotations will be tricky. Learning how to play with a guy like that will be tricky.

It's going to be up and down for a bit until they find a rhythm. We've seen this before, we're seeing it again

To your question, corndeaux, a message board in every sport will place blame on the coach, because the coach is the most prominent and convenient target for venting frustration. While a coach has overall responsibility, there are times that the negative things are beyond their control

Are y’all implying that Gentry is a good coach?

That’s not really the point.
