Check the rebounding stats. My guess is they’re not pretty.

No. I was implying that we react to bad results very simply.
If we're blaming bad coaching for missed free throws, we've lost the plot.

Fair enough.
I agree you can’t pin point certain bad things from one game on a coach - ie bad free throw shooting or turnovers ; but when there is a pattern of glaring deficiencies after every loss, that means the head coach is not doing a good job.

Of course. But "after every loss" is such an interesting way to put it in this conversation.
Does getting outrebounded in wins not matter? Do we praise the coaching when the team wins? If the team does get outrebounded in losses, how do we know it was bad coaching and not bad execution or bad roster construction?
I think there's enough evidence to say Gentry is thoroughly average/mediocre as a head coach. I just find the way we talk about him/coaches to be very fascinating

We didn't lose because I started the game thread.

Specifically offensive rebounds. They had a shite ton of second chance points. That and FTs killed us.
We better shoot tf out of FTs come the offseason. If we were even middle of the pack this year we would have 7 more wins.

Zion’s minutes should really be restructured so that he’s able to close the 2nd and 4th quarters while he’s on this restriction. The team has played best with him on the court so it makes zero sense to not have him helping close the game out.
just said same thing in another pels thread.

He should be an All Star. He has struggled in those "bigger" games. Small sample size though. I think once the new-ness of Zion wears off, BI will settle in as a legit All Star caliber player.
