They should send out a notice to all STHs that if they want to purchase tickets they have to do it over the phone with their rep. No more online. Open it up for 24 hours. You can try and tell your rep the seat #s you got today and see if you can get the same ones, hell they may even have records of it and offer you those same seats. But it's done over the phone and not online. Pels need to take control over this with their own people.
Once that 24 hours is up they open the remaining seats for public online.

It would help if the NBA would come out and set some dates in stone. They could come out and say if GS wins Game 5 then series would start Sat. Then go Mon, Thu, Sat. If GS-SA goes 6, the series starts Sun then Tue, Fri, Sun and so on.

Networks dictate this to the NBA, and they have sponsors to satisfy. They don't care about the Pelicans presale.

I think the answer is to open up tickets for STH to purchase tickets, but no more than the number of tickets they've had all season.

STHs shouldn't have to do anything. They should automatically get their seats for every playoff game unless they state they don't want them. Then partial plan holders should get a day like today to buy up to the amount of tickets in their plans. That would pretty much sell the place out.

They used the same passwords in the first round and no one cared. I guess they underestimated how ticked the season holders would be with GS (likely) involved now.

It was a mess. They should first take care of full season ticket holders who wanted to buy additional tickets, then half season, then down the line. Negative publicity from canceled tickets and starting over is a better outcome than negative publicity from ticking off the people who invest in full/half/12 games plans. There's room on the bandwagon, but many people that haven't been to games all year were able to take advantage of the mistake. If tickets are canceled, a dedicated presale between STH opening and general public opening sounds fair

Half season presale started at 10 am.

Tickets still available this afternoon for all games.

Tickets available in which sections? I’m genuinely curious. If you had club level half season tickets and only got access to mid-row uppers, that’s kinda screwed up. Hard to argue otherwise.

Considering they jacked the prices up for round 2 for STH, yap

And there were already tickets for sale on Stub Hub in my section and row for $250 a piece... $84 face. They definitely took notice of the market I reckon

I'd say this depends on what you were promised when you signed up for your plan. Did they just guarantee playoff seats in general or did they guarantee similar seats? I'm sure a marketing tool they use is that the only way to be guaranteed the same seats is to get the whole season.

What would make sense is if they were to cancel it all, they should take care of season ticket holders and half season etc. They could then let pelicans insiders have a stab at the remaining scraps and/or let those that already bought tickets have access through a unique password. They could easily track this by those that ordered under their account's email address. Don't give access to any of the tickets listed on StubHub etc, another easy thing to find. I'm sure they won't do this though.

The other group they don't want to piss off are those "potential" season ticket package people, but that is unavoidable now.

There can’t be that many half season left out

(I don’t care about the mini plan buyers but do feel for the half)

Identify who didn’t get tickets and help those. Sorry if your half club didn’t result in playoff club. Buy a full package next time.

Agreed. You were not guaranteed playoff tickets with a half season ticket option, only access to an early purchase. There was tickets available for 6 hours yesterday before it sold out. The ticket office should have done a better job of controlling the process if it was that important to them.

As far as postseason goes, the half plans and 12 game plans are treated the same. Both pre-sales started at the same time yesterday with no guarantee of seats.

There in a spot where they're going to piss people off at this point. If they redo everything, there will be STHs who did this the right way who won't get the seats they have now.

It's par for the course for this organization. They finally seem to have winning basketball figured out, and have more momentum than anytime since 2008, and they screw up selling tickets in a way that will certainly cost them either existing or new STHs.

Bingo. As a sth, I bought extra tickets. But my pelicans account and my ticketmaster account use different emails. I will be livid if my extra tickets are cancelled.
