Tonight:

Nets at Mavs
Grizz at Pistons
Lakers at Clippers
Thunder at Warriors

I think the Nets are going to play without Durant and Harden, so the Mavs are favored to win. If they do and the Lakers lose to the Clips, then the Lakers would drop back into a tie with the Blazers for the play-in spot.

The Grizzlies and the Warriors should both win and put more distance between them and the teams fighting for the #10 seed.

OP now updated. Like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football while Lucy holds it, I'll flap onward.

game 2 of back to back for memphis, on road.
starter grayson allen left game last night with core muscle pull.
but jaren jr back vs detroit after rest game.

not a sure thing although clarke had first double double since back from injury.

Pelicans schedule
@Philly
@Hornets
@Grizz on a B2B
@Mavs
@Warriors
Lakers

Spurs schedule
@Sac (who is surprisingly winning without Fox)
@Blazers on a B2B
Bucks
@Nets
@Knicks on a B2B
Suns
Suns on a B2B

WHile we need to go 4-2, i can't see us doing better than 3-3.
I could see the Spurs winning 2. Really depends on how the Nets and Suns approach their games against them.

If the Pels win tonight and Spurs lose I’ll favor us to finish 10th for the last play in spot. If we lose tonight, Spurs will most likely hang on to that spot or even Sacramento sneaks ahead and takes it

Don’t want to pop your balloon, but the Pels don’t play again until tomorrow, which is good bc they had to play 3 games in 4 days recently.

The Spurs vs Kings is big. Our schedule is tough but theirs is probably harder. I dont see any of the teams on both schedules resting guys unless the Suns have the 1 locked up but most likely they wont. Bucks, Nets, and Suns could all be fighting for position.

Honestly, if the Kings win it, I might be more worried about them than the Spurs.

If the Kings win and we lose at Philly, they will be tied with us for 11th. Then, they host the Thunder in back-to-back games that the Thunder are determined to lose, and then they travel to face the Grizzlies in back-to-back games, before finishing against the Jazz in a game where the Jazz might rest their stars. I can see the possibility of the Kings going 5-1 in their last six games.

[Edit: it's a good thing that we have the tiebreaker with the Kings.]

He's not "injured." He's had COVID, and he should be out of the COVID protocols any day now -- maybe tomorrow night.

Dallas beating Brooklyn tonight really elevates them above the Lakers and Blazers for avoiding the #7 seed. Dallas gets the Cavs twice, then the Grizzlies, us, the Raptors, and the Wolves.

That's a lot easier than what the Lakers and Blazers face.

Grizzlies just lost to the Pistons -- what? Are they serious? Grizzlies are at the Raptors, then host us, the Mavs, the Kings (twice), and then finish on the road at the Warriors.

They could still finish at #11 if they don't watch out.

Don’t forget Memphis’s epic choke job last year. The play in bubble actually saved them. Before Covid ended the world for a year, Memphis was probably going to miss the playoffs by 4-5 games. It’s a damn shame we lost so many truly ridiculous games. There is no way in hell we should be in this 9,10,11 scrum. We should’ve been battling for 5 or 6. Now we have to pull a play in spot out of our arse against pretty tough competition and also hope someone in front of us tanks down the stretch.

I think our best bet is the Spurs either losing out or only winning 1 game. Winning 3 of our last 6 seems like a tall order. I don’t see us beating Golden State in their gym and the Lakers will likely be battling for positioning in that last game and we just match up piss poorly with Lebron. Even when we had Jrue we had no absolute shot in hell at guarding him.

I don't know about that now. I think that Naji can do a better job than you think.

unless LAKERS are in 6th and 1.5 game lead they will not rest.
if they have chance to escape the playin games they will try to win.
