They still play the Raptors twice, Us, the Wizards and the Mavs once who are dropping like a stone. They should get 2 or 3 more easily.
The Sixers have the Wizard twice, Us and Toronto once and San Antonio once. SA is 4-9 in the last 13 with 3 of those 4 wins coming over the Pels, Nets and the Mavs.
Looks like 4 is our floor. But can we get to 3? The Hornets are 1 win behind us and are on a hot streak winning 3 of their last 4. If we go back to the 5th game it was a 1 point loss to the Cavs. Would be nice if they can steal a few more wins while we tank out.

And with Brooklyn's win tonight, the Pelicans now have a 5 game cushion between the next closest team for 4th worst record.

It's highly unlikely we finish worse than 4th. If we go 5-9 from here on out that means the Nets or Sixers would have to go winless.

I don't see many wins left for Charlotte on its schedule, but it could always pull off a couple upsets. March 30 game in the SKC is big, we need to go out and support our Hornets in that one.

Washington VS Utah tomorrow. Jazz are steering the tank quite well. I don't see them screwing it up/us catching them. Washington is screwing it up a bit and feel like we could catch them. Rooting for a Washington W.

Let's guess the Pels end up with 20 wins, you would need Washington to win 5 more games to "catch" them. I don't know if head to head is the tiebreaker, but New Orleans swept Washington.
Wiz still have the Utah game and two against tanking Philly. So there's a chance they get 5 more wins. They did just shut Kispert down, don't know if others will be shut down.

Ties for the lottery works a little differently.
When a tie occurs in the standings, the odds are split using the average of the odds between the positions. (Example: in this case 3rd record has 14% chance whereas 4th position has 12.5% chance. The average between the two is 13.25% which would be the new odds for both teams.) And to decided which team gets 3rd position vs 4th position would be decided by a coin flip.
Tieing for 3rd isn't a bad position to be in considering all things.

That's good news, I appreciate that info.
I do agree with the prior poster, Washington is the only one with a real chance to win enough games to make a difference. Jazz schedule is much tougher.

When we won the AD lottery, I believe we had split odds with Cleveland for 3rd.

Hornets won, that Minny win pisses me off even more.

Pels beating a playoff team fighting for playoff seeding to ruin the tank

Dumbest franchise possible. Griff and WG should be shown the door ASAP once the season ends. They're risking player's health. TM3 was already a casualty.

Big day today, with the Hornets in Miami. The Heat have lost 10 straight games, while the Hornets have won 4 out of their last 8 games, including a March 10 win in Miami.
There's a real chance that we could be at #3 by the end of the day.

Wish we didn't have to play Miami again.

And to prove just how big a nerd I really am...since the 13.25% of 1000 possible "combos" doesn't come out to an even number...the winner of the coin flip would also get the odd extra " 4 number combo" and have 133 combos to the loser's 132. I WANT THAT EXTRA COMBO !!!

20 point lead by Miami now in the late 3rd. Absolute masterclass tanking by Charlotte. Down 20 to a team that haven't won a game in their last 10.

have a bad feeling about this year’s lottery. Pretty sure both times we won it, it was unexpected. Now that we are hoping to tank and get a top pick, we’re going to end up outside the top 5.
History has shown even if we get the lottery break bad shite happens. Chris Paul and AD couldn’t wait to bail on NOLA and Zion has no drive once paid.
