Also if we took Garland we don't have the team we have now. Such a dumb take.

He and McGee accounted for nearly 45pts. I think Ayton is amazing but those two doing that isn't normal.

This, if it was normal they’d be up 3-0. Ayton didn’t suddenly turn into Hakeem on the flight to Nola

Jonas just can't do it consistently.
Usually Uber efficient and consistent, he's 12 for 35 shooting in this series.

If we just had below average Jval instead of downright awful, we'd be up 2 to 1.

He's a decent free throw shooter and can knock down an occasional 3. Not to mention he's stuck playing in the black hole of Indy, no telling how good he could be on a team with actual talent around him.

A worse FT shooter than JV, who’s gotten worse from 3 in the last four years (shooting 33% the last two years), never been a guy to get a lot of boards consistently, and Indy wants multiple firsts for him. No thank you

My biggest takeaway is that Phoenix really isn’t that good. That team will not win a title

Phoenix is elite defensively. The only team on the Western side who can probably beat them is Golden State if they have Devin Booker. People are seriously underestimating how good Phoenix is. They didn't luck into 64 wins. I'm irrational as hell so I want to win this series, but you have to be encouraged by how our team is going up against them without our best player.

of course. And I’ll even say having Jax in the fourth switching on CP instead of Nance would have made a difference too.

This board doesn't understand how legit Bridges is defensively. He's a more experienced Herb with an even longer wingspan. McCollum has had Bridges on him most often and he's gotten better as the series has gone along in dealing with him. What's fun to watch is Ingram just rising over Bridges and hitting his shots. Dude is crazy good.

Preach

Phoenix is arguably the 2nd best team in the West even without Booker, no worse than 3rd.

I understand we had a shot to win and it royally sucks, but we have to be super proud of our team through 3 games in this series.

Herb/Hayes in the pick and roll defense would have at least slowed Paul down.

This team needs a Josh Hart that's a little bit of a better shooter I hope we can find that type of player in the Draft.

Truthfully the difference maker in the game was McGhee. Because we always have 2 small guards in the game most of the team it was easy for them to get a mismatch.

I don't think he's closed any game since the play in, and don't see why he would have been closing this game.

Did a quick check, Jaxson Hayes logged 0 minutes in the 4th quarter in games 1 & 2.

They have nobody close to being able to guard Zion.

Right now the difference in this series is they have one of the 3-4 best PGs of all time, and we don't. Forget Booker or Ayton, Paul is difference.

This is a great thing for us though, because we're hanging right with these guys, and nobody else has a CP.

We're gonna be really good next year.

Hayes wouldn't be have been in the game in the 4th quarter even if he wasn't ejected.

they’d have to put Crowder on him. You thought the flopping was bad tonight with Crowder, he’d be roadkill if Zion was out there

Like, we were going down the stretch of a playoff game against the number 1 seed with an undrafted rookie, a 2nd round rookie, and the 17th pick in the draft playing significant minutes and we lost by 3. And we have a fricking behemoth unstoppable force just sitting in street clothes on the sidelines ready to be unleashed next year.

Obviously we have holes to fill, namely shooting and defense, but CJ McCollum will be our third option on offense. Brandon Ingram will have space on the floor. Teams won't be able to quadruple team Zion. Things are looking up.

They need shooters first and foremost.

They need another guy who can put the ball on the floor and create, because our offense gets fricked over when there's only one of CJ or BI on the floor and the double teams come their way. Point Zion will help with that though once he comes back.
