Withey

and Babbit is non guaranteed on Sham Sports. They have to be included then. Houston won't take back any salary, so Rivers is a no go unless it's a 3 team deal.

I like Withey, but if they plan on keeping Anderson, you're not worried about a potential 4th or 5th big too much.

No. I've been calculating $6.7 in cap space only keeping the Finishing 5, Rivers plus Ajinca and Withey at about $900k each. We might have to give 2 of those 3 up to make it work. I'm not sure if cap space counts in the 150% trade rule. I think that's just on outgoing salary.

I think Ajinca doesn't stick around. Withey has youth and Ajinca picks up fouls in the off season. I'm thinking they'll make Rivers part of a trade for a 1st rounder at this point.

So who is getting shed for this trade to work? Gordon getting traded is too optimistic, so it's probably Rivers right?

they said it wont be official to July 8th or something, so im guessing that gives us time to move numbers

I like it. I also think that there has to be an extension in the works with this as well. Gordon HAS to be moved at some point as well. #timetoflap

Right, but I was already planning on not having Babbit on the roster in calculating the $6.7. We have to get up from $6.7 to $8.3 using Withey and Ajinca, or Rivers. Now maybe part of the plan is to trade Rivers for a pick. And you're right, if we're keeping Ryno and getting Asik, we don't care about Withey or Ajinca.

Are people still thinking we make a move for a draft pick?

I get the feeling this is probably going to be the only move that gets made during the draft

I think Gordon fits better as a starter in the lineup over Reke. Take Evans off the bench with Ryno + still play him ~32mpg. My opinion could change if we get a SF that can shoot and provide spacing.

Add a SF with the MLE that is worth a shite, and we look like a team that was built with an endgame in mind vs. the mashup of talent that doesn't quite fit that we had last season. I'd love to get rid of him like everyone else, but Gordon would be a really good player to have coming off the bench. He and Ryno will light opposing reserves up.

Assuming we keep Ryno, we will have a tight 3 man big rotation where all 3 are good enough at what they do best that teams have to game plan against each of them. This is one of the moves we've been waiting for that could turn things around in a hurry.

Well Dwight Howard happened last year. I think he was closer to 12 pts when he was the full time starter.

Not really. Rockets needed to get rid of Asik anyway to clear space, and they get a first-round pick. Those things will help them with whoever then end up getting in the future.

I think y'all might need our pick to unload Lin.

So the MLE will allow us to sign a SF even if we still have Asik and pretty much keep everyone currently under contract?

I could see Anderson for a pick too if teams buy into his recovery

Has anyone ever heard of bilateral projections? It would probably just be protections for us as there is no guarantee that we pick in that range in the next 10 seasons.
