I like it as far as content and stuff like that, I just preferred Hulu Live because the interface was just better/cleaner/user friendly. DirectTV's search option doesn't even populate titles as you're entering them in. That's incredibly bougie but I hate having to type the whole title out Also you got more DVR time and unlimited devices with Hulu for a better price.

That all being said, its better than cable, I get the Pelicans and you're cordless. I'm just being picky.

What service are you using? Cancel it and switch to DirectTV if you're not under some contract. I'd cancel my Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Starz, HBO Max, Disney, Britbox, Paramount and Apple+ if I had to to have enough money to get the Pels.

Nope, it’s only on the select few broadcasters that charge an arm and a leg, or you can get the “cost effective” BS+ app that’s likely shite and will freeze up on you every 5 minutes

I use this too. I'd use the app to get the youtube link and then stream it through my YouTube app on my tv, but it doesn't work all the time. YouTube will cut the stream at halftime then you have to wait until Dofu puts up another stream. And usually it's the other team's broadcast. It's better than an illegal stream on my computer but less reliable

From the Nola.com article:

During negotiations, the Pelicans secured flexibility to pursue alternatives within that five-year window as they try to navigate a rapidly changing TV landscape.

Sounds like there was no better present option.

Yeah, but they probably didn't have many viable options. The Regional Sports Networks are in a really bad place. They are the content cable bundling was made for because if you just charge the people that actually care about them, it gets really expensive. I bet Sinclair offered a lot more than NBC Sports because they are hoping to subsidize the RSN with gambling revenue.

I understand they think the BS app will allow more fans to watch, the problem is it’s prices like it’s an entire television package by itself, he’ll league pass is cheaper, and Bally already has a HORRIBLE app.

Earlier this month, the New England Sports Network launched a direct-to-consumer streaming service, NESN360, which costs $29.99 per month or $329.99 annually. Subscribers get access to Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins games. Bally Sports+ is expected to be considerably less expensive than NESN360. The exact price point of Bally Sports+ in NBA markets has yet to be determined.

At least it sounds like it’ll be less than 30 a month
