Knowing we could have had Lauri Markannen only for Griffin to trade Lonzo for Satoransky and Temple will never sit right with me.

All of you can rip Griff for not making that Lauri trade, but remember only one poster here made multiple threads saying Griff screwed up not making that trade and saw Lauri’s potential, but all of you shite on him and said Lauri was garbage….

Don’t spin it now and blame Griff when y’all agreed with him at the time.

Messi is a solid pick and one that is certainly more worthy than Holmes. Missi can focus on rebounding and defense solely when he enters a game. He's your backup Center.

I wonder if Griff will buy a pick to get in the 2nd round...

Lively was a better prospect than Missi and much further along in his development. And proved to be a lot more NBA ready than given credit for. Missi by all accounts is a project.

It’s a shite draft, we picking in the 20’s. No one is questioning this guys size and athleticism. They said he’s only been playing ball for a few years. So he is gonna be super raw and a project. But being straight from Africa, I bet he gives all effort and is all business. He won’t be like the immature idiots like Jaxson that we normally deal with.

I’m fine with the pick. It may hit or it may bust, but it’s not a bad roll of the dice. I was much more pissed at Griff from the trade down years ago. That was just fricking stupid.

Missi much better than Hayes. We will get Trae Young and maybe Kessler. Trey Murphy will be key to the season

I really don’t hate the pick as much as most. I wanted collier but at the end of the day it’s the 21st pick in the worst draft in 10 years. Odds are pretty good anyone we drafted there isn’t going to become anything and no one is trading future picks for the 21st pick in a shite draft

At least take the guy that’s a little more polished, can block shots, and shoots the 3 at 38%, not a raw project that we’ve shown over and over we have no idea how to develop

I just can’t bring myself to get to high or to low with who we selected with the 21st pick in a bad draft. Hopefully he works out, but not holding my breath.

I said he had a similar skill set to Lively which he does. Lively was not some uber skilled big man dude is all motor and stupid athletic. And by all accounts Yves plays hard.

People don't give Zion enough credit for his passing, if Yves can understand how to play in the dunker spot and rebound he could give you solid minutes at the back up 5 early on.

Think about how many easy looks Larry passed up because he is undersized and lost his athleticism.

You're wrong. Lively has advanced understanding of defensive schemes and awareness and high IQ to get to spots on the floor. He's a defensive anchor and it's all on tape in college.

Problem with guys like Missi and even Jaxson is they need point guards to be successful. Missi likely won’t play this year but he’ll be even more useless without a point guard. Up to Griff to try to get a guy like Trae.

His defensive IQ was off the charts. Combined with his motor and athleticism its why he was drafted so high.

Yeah the Lively comp is bad. I was super high on Lively predraft because of his basketball IQ and his tape showing he was okay doing the dirty work rather than stat padding. I don’t see the Missi and Lively being in the same conversation.

Now the people that want Okongwu, but hate Missi need to explain themselves. They are a much better comp

Bleacher Report guys at least seem to like the pick a little better than y'all. Think he's better facing the basket and putting it on the floor than given credit for.

This is the first pick of the Graham era. So I hope he got it right. I just doubt Willie will play him much because of his foul troubles and how raw Yves is. If it was another coach, I be excited. WG literally left Dyson and Hawkins on the bench in the playoffs and didn’t want to make any changes.

So we basically just drafted an even rawer Jaxon Hayes, that about sums it up? FML.

Jaxson failed because he’s retarded and immature. Had nothing to do with his talent or ability.

Jaxson Hayes with a work ethic is a damn good center

I'm not worried about his foul rate. It's actually a lot lower than Embiid when he was in college. I just wished he was a stronger rebounder, free throw shooter, and shot blocker at this stage. Hopefully he will be even better at those things with some more experience.

He's a good pick for a long haul due to upside. Just don't think he's going to give you much in year 1.

Suns apparently were set on Missi at 22, they absolutely loved him. Once we took him they traded down
