LINK

Because everything in above article is true, regardless of you not wanting it to be.

Did you really just link an article from 2023 from Sportsnaut.com as some type of support for your argument?

Yes, and the facts of that article remain and the situation is even more dire now that the lease is closer to expiring and the lottery went horribly wrong.

Seattle, Vegas, and Kansas City are lurking. Nashville is even more deserving of the Pels.

There’s a reason Landry is flirting with the NHL he knows the Pels and SKC days together are numbered.

The article has an opening paragraph. Then it cites poor attendance. Those are the only "facts" as to why the team shouldn't be in New Orleans. The rest of the article details why other cities might be better suited for hosting an NBA team.

You may believe these teams "deserve" an NBA team more than New Orleans. You might be right. But doesn't mean she's selling the team or should sell the team.

All these people hoping Gayle sells are really weird to me. Why are you here on a Pelicans message board, advocating the sale of the team? Are you a troll? Get another hobby if you hate the subject of your hobby.

I can't imagine there are 5500 fools out there that would give this franchise that amount of money

Attendance is driven largely by success. It's going to be really ugly this year. Get used to it.

What you got?

I am not a season ticker holder but I bought league pass every year when I lived in Miami and West Virginia and watched as many Pelicans games that I could. Last season was the first season since I moved back to within driving distance of NOLA that I did not attend at least one Pelicans game or even watch a whole game despite it being on local tv. I do not plan on attending or watching any games this year either. The decade plus of underachieving with AD and Zion being injured more than he has been available has drained me of my fandom.

Some of us are fans of the Pels and not married to the city they play. I’d still be a fan if they move to Vegas and in some ways think it would help the cause not being in a shite market. Gayle is an incompetent owner and hoping for a better owner is reasonable and justified given the state of the Pels and Saints.

I’m still a Jazz fan and root just as hard for them now as when Pistol and Truck played in the Dome.

The city has failed and doesn’t deserve the teams, not going to punish the teams for their failure with my fandom.

I'm still getting emails, asking me to renew because, "We’ve just released new seating options for the 2025-26 season, and we’d love to welcome you back as a Season Ticket Holder. As a valued client with seats this past season, we’re extending early pricing to you — and you’ve got a personalized date and time to log in and explore available seats for our Full Season, Half Season, or 12-Game Plans"

Translation: a lot of people with good seats haven't renewed so maybe you might want to buy tickets that have recently become available.

That’s exactly right, don’t take the bait. Sell the team.

She could get 3rd party sellers to buy them up like they have been doing for Saints games ever since Brees and SP left. By the way there is no more waiting list for Saints games. If you prefer to spend your Sundays in the Dome.

Then go to the soccer board and find some friends. Why so many post here not watching, not going to games have such a burning need to wish Gayle sell the team.

Maybe is a deal like stock market. If it's cheap cause no one buying them buy now and when the team win the first 20 games of the season then you can sell high

TIcket sales are as brutal as expected.

So many seats available for select a seat:

2 tickets courtside just down from visitors bench - $160k each
2 tickets courtside center court across scorers table- $120k each
6 tickets courtside across from the visitors bench - $72k each.

There's roughly 60 more floor seats available between $20-70k

Hundreds available in the lower bowl between $2,500-$25k.

Yeah, I got an email from my ex-rep about my select a seat presale. I checked it out - out of morbid curiosity. A ton of unsold lower bowl tickets.

I wonder if they will lower prices to spur sales. Probably won't.
