Just goes to show you Gayle’s true self and also Dumars and his little sidekick suck at their jobs. They just released a man that made the Pelicans his entire life and now he’s likely too old to uproot his family to go look for another NBA job. Classless move. This didn’t have shite to do with winning this is just petty. No wonder we can’t get anyone worth a shite to want to come to that shithole of a franchise.

He’s almost 60 with grown kids. He made a good living for 30 years. He’s going to be fine.

He's also unlikely to get another opportunity in this type of position in the league at his age. He's already one of the oldest if not the oldest guy in the league at his position right now. Teams generally have pretty young guys in that position and the oldest guy Sparky Gonzales retired last year. It was only him and Gaspar who were old guys left. And now, Gaspar is the last oldhead standing.

Wouldn’t be surprised if one of his former players hires him to do spot work during camps or fundraisers.

We've jumped the shark when we start crediting him for making the ball boys engineers, attorneys, etc. All the other ball boys in the league go on to be crackheads but not ours UNTIL NOW
