And Ingram definitely hurt his finger at some point in this game. Trainers were tending to it while he’s on the bench

What out don’t criticize BI. A star has to shine when you need him

Yeah, trade him. We probably could get an expiring contract and a two for him. You think?

I've made my position known on this season, if there is any injury just let him take some games off, it wouldn't be the worst thing for fatigue purposes either.

The minutes guys like Hart/JV/BI are getting the last 15 games aren't worth the injury risk to get a couple more wins in a lost season.

I mean he's once again on pace tonight to play more than his career season high, and he is already playing career highs when you take out his achilles soreness game(which should be a big red flag), top 10 in minutes taking out those games he left early.

I'm not saying don't sit him. I'm saying it was the wrong timing.

It is really gonna suck if one of those two end up with a major fatigue injury chasing this lost season

Yes, it would suck, but right now, the season isn't lost. This would have been a nice win and worth the extra minutes for both. Tatum and Brown had 38 and 35 minutes.

I'm having trouble keeping up with all the different teams that are gonna end up tanking this year. Guess the Hawks and Pacers can be added to the list.

This game is making me reconsider trying to make the playoffs. We just don't have the dogs to compete with any talented teams, and we aren't trading for anyone noteworthy this year.

This game was kind of like a good college team playing against a mid major. Boston slept thru most of the first half, then we they decided to flip the switch, the game was over, no matter what we did. It's frustrating to see us lose because of lack of talent.

As with the enjoyable weekend convo that went on(lol), I guess it depends on what your goals, expectations, and you view as worth pushing our best guys for.

I just personally think with the holes in the roster and no Zion it's simply not worth pushing BI up to 37ish mpg, Hart 37, and JV to 33mpg, which is where these guys are at the last 15ish games, all career highs.

But you arent wrong, the only way we can win some of these matchups is to minimize the bench unit's minutes and keep BI and JV in as much as they can physically take because there is a big drop off when those guys leave the court

Nothing more really needs to be said about the team's lack of a lead guard. It was on full display today. Until we can upgrade the talent, specifically at that position, we are going to be a floundering team that has occasional bright moments.

There are some things, in the interim, that W.G. can and should do to shake things up. Give Temple's minutes to Hayes and try going big with Val. When you pull Val out of the lane teams feast on us going to the rim. Give Clark more run, he's at least shown he can hit an uncontested shot. Also, although I'm afraid that we're going to wear him out, let Herb run some point. He handles the ball reasonably well and makes good decisions. We can't take 12-14 seconds to get into our offense just to get inefficient shots or turn the ball over like the J.V. team being pressured by the Varsity.

Like you said, what we have isn't working.

To avoid wearing Herb out if running him at point for a while, you could move him to "off-ball" on the defensive end during that period. He's an excellent off-ball/help defender, and this would allow him to still contribute on D while playing point on O, without having him drop dead from exhaustion.
