If Stanley Johnson was part of the trade, obviously we would have to give them something of value. My tradeoff for taking on Jackson's salary and attitude would be including Johnson. Johnson would have similar impact on this team as Solo, but on a rookie contract.

Stanley Johnson is way worse than Solo, which is impressive

He's not way worse. He's about the same defensively, slightly worse offensively, but he's 6 years younger. His contract is nice but I wouldn't give up Moore/Solo just to get him.

I'd love Stanley Johnson. But it's not going to happen for a few reasons. First, the Pelicans (Dell) really like Solo and it would take a great deal for Dell to let him go. Second, I doubt the Pelicans want to start a raw 21 year old next to AD and Cousins, I just don't see that happening. Third, the Pistons really like him too. Enough to compare him to a young Jimmy Butler and call him their SF of the future.
IF Johnson becomes a Pelican, the only way I could see it going down is something over the top like Moore, Ajinca, QPon, Diallo + 1st & 2nd for Jackson and Johnson

I'm still irrationally upset over potentially trading for Jackson, and I'm not sure why. I feel like we've seen this song and dance with Gordon, Holiday, and Evans. Young Vets. Give it up. Jesus Christ. Go get us an actual vet we don't have to gamble on improving. Or at the very least, go after someone who actually has a high ceiling like Bledsoe. I don't care. Throw 2 1sts and a swap at PHX with Asik. There's no way they turn that down. ZERO chance. Try to package Diallo with Ajinca and a 2nd to get a veteran wing who's an 8th man on the bench. shite....
Reggie fricking Jackson.
I fully expect us to send picks in a Jackson trade btw. Don't be shocked.

Some people entertain themselves by saying rediculous shite. In what world is Solo way better than Johnson? Solo isn't way better than anybody in the league. He is better suited to play in the East (he's undersized); I respect his defense and hustle. In the future, will this team be able to afford paying Solo 12 mill a season for his 7 ppg and streaky shooting? If we resign Cunningham, how much would Solo be missed (especially if we had Stanley Johnson)?

Actually there is. They have no reason to move Bledsoe now. If they wait us out maybe they can get the picks without taking on Asik.

Dude there is no reason to be that upset. The reason it didn't work out with Gordon, Holiday, and Evans is because AD wasn't the player he is today and Cousins was arguing with George Karl. Not to mention the injuries between those 3 moved them around into different roles on a daily basis.
Reggie is not ideal but he can be a big contributor if he returns to his previous form. And maybe we can blame Detroit's ever-changing style of play, Jackson's injury, or the fact that he was the focal point of the offense, to be why he has regressed. He's below average on defense but maybe in our system with 2 perennial All-Stars and a fringe All-Star (hey Jrue made is once lol) we see a completely different Reggie Jackson. We could do a lot worse with the shite assets we have and at some point we need to take a risk. Whether it's with this trade or another, at some point we need to take a risk.
I'd love Bledsoe but we would have to sell the farm to get him. An incredible player with an injury history in Phoenix. The same Phoenix that kept Amare Stoudemire healthy before going to the Knicks where he had one healthy season and disappeared into oblivion. So I worry about giving up a ton to get Bledsoe. If he is injury free, he would instantly make the Pelicans a top 4 team in the West only behind GSW, HOU, and SAS.
But over the past couple of days, I've gotten increasingly higher on the Jeremy Lin train. Deceptively quick, good off-ball player but can be the primary ball handler, solid shooter, solid passer, ok defender but long, great teammate, and a salary (2 years/$24 mil) that doesn't hog tie us in the long run. I'd be all up in Brooklyn's grill to get him.

This is incorrect. His last year is a player option that he'll surely opt out of and since we gave up a 1st for him and assuming things go well might have Cousins resigning hinging on resigning Lin, he'd have a lot of leverage. You can pencil in at least 3/$51 to resign him and it might be more and longer than that.

Damn didn't know that last year was a player option

Part of getting 2 firsts is having to take on Asik. Eric Bledsoe is not a 2 first round player.

3-team trade. Sign and trade Cunningham and Reggie Jackson to Washington; Detroit receives Ajinca and Moore; Pelicans receive John Wall.

WHO SAYS NO????????????????????????????

Washington would block your number

Washington wants to get rid of John Wall's contract if he doesn't commit to them long-term, which he hasn't. Washington would definitely listen if a 1st round protected it thrown in the package.

Boom problem solved! Good work people I think we can all agree that wraps up this conversation

I dont believe that to be the case but seeing as i just witnessed George go for Victor Olindipo and another guy i guess nothing would surprise me

MAYBE eventually, but that would be a last minute deal when they absolutely had to.
They would get way better offers than that shite sandwich

Only if Washington takes back Asik and sends us Beal.
